Athlon Mobile Barton

First off,

1. Do I need a particular Thermtlake HSF for Mobile Barton?

2. if I was to OC this chip, a PC3200 RAM would go with it just fine? Since the effective FSB for Barton is 133mhz and PC3200 effective speed is 200mhz according to the OC guide?

3. All I need to do is to pump up the FSB and do trial and error and it should OC?

(1) No the stock AMD heatsink and fan should be fine unless you're trying for a monster overclock.

(2) PC3200 is backwards compatible and will run at the slower 166Mhz and 133Mhz speeds just fine.

(3) If you've got a board that supports multiplier adjustments, then you can OC using a combination of multiplier and FSB adjustments. That's why it's really important to get a board that can adjust the multiplier in the BIOS when trying to overclock the mobile Bartons.

what i'm tryign to say is PC3200 is effective at 200mhz, which will in theory give me enough room to push the FSB of CPU to 200mhz with 1:1 CPU:RAM ratio correct?

Yes, but you'll need a board with multiplier adjustments to be able run the mobile at a good multiplier with 200 FSB (likely 11.5x200 or 12x200).
