Athlon Cooling Questions

I recently built my first PC, an Athlon 1.33ghz on a Abit KT7A. I'm using the Thermalright SK-6 HSF (with the included Delta Fan). As of yet, I don't have any case fans installed, other than the PSU fan, these should arrive tomorrow via UPS. According to the motherboard sensor, by cpu temp is running 45c idle & has never gone above 48c, even after playing Q3 for a while. I planned to add 2 case fans (one in, one out), and replace the Delta fan with something quieter. My thought was that the case fans would offset the lost performance of replacing the Delta and hopefully my temps wouldn't increase any. So, I opened my case to see how much my temps were affected, and they really weren't affected at all. The idle is still 44-45c. This really suprised me since my office is in the basement of my house, which is always nice & cool, probably never warmer than 24c. Now I'm worried that my temps will go up unless I leave that noisy Delta fan in there. Any thoughts?
Thanks.

I replaced my delta with an 80mm 48cfm ys-tech fan and my temps stayed the same. The ys-tech fan is 39dba compared to the 46 dba delta, so its significantly quieter. To attach a 80mm fan to the sk-6 just turn it 45 degrees and slide the clips over the corners of the fan. Hope this helps.
