Athlon-C 1330 Mhz on an old A7V board

i'm currently stuck w/ an A7V board (KT133) and an AMD
750 @800 w/ 512 MB RAM. I'm currently thinking of upgrading
the CPU and the only ones I could get my hands on are athlon-C
running w/ 133 Mhz bus or duron processors.

changing boards is out of the question, only have enough money
to change the CPU. I was thinking of unlocking the multiplier
on the 1330, run it on a the A7V (bus speed of 100) and just
increase the multiplier from 10 to 13. would it work?

tell me what you guys think. 😱

Yup...I ran my 1ghz C chip on my asus A7V until I got my Iwill board. It worked fine...even when overclocked by about 400mhz. As long as you have the multipliers you should be fine.

I believe the A7V manual said it had onboard dips that gave up to 12.5 multi. But my 12.5 actually gave me 13 for some reason. Maybe it was a misprint? Anyway you shouldn't have any problem if you unlock it...the A7V was the king in it's day!

great! i guess there'd no prob w/ bios support
or anything. i still don't want to get rid of it,
it's still a great board..
