athlon barton 2500 help

my setup is athlon barton 2500, 1gig kingston hyperX pc 3500 and an NF7-S by abit. my question is i see lots of people doing the 2500 up to 3200 with no problem. what do my settings need to be at. eveytime i try to go to 3200 speeds the bios and stuff loads but windows will not. i have the hyperx ram set in bios to aggressive timings.

11x200 usually works best. you need to add some more voltage. go up to 1.85v and see if it works, then start working down in .05v increments until it becomes unstable, then you can find out what voltage you need to maintain that speed. i have an unlocked barton that can run at those speeds up for sale if you need one.

that's pretty much the same setup i have (asus a7n8x mobo instead). as hytek said, you should try for 11x200. you probably will need to up your vcpu, but i would recommend starting at default, and raising the voltage until the system is stable. i think i had to bump mine up to 1.7v

i tried once at 1.8v 11x200 and when i tried to load windows it gave me nothing but a blank screen. if i try to run it at 11x195 i get a blue screen of death when windows tries to load up, when i run 11x190 everything works fine.

1.85 is INCREDIBLY high for CPU voltage. If you run it that high for too long you wont have a chip. Work your way up NOT down. You're lucky you didn't fry the processor. Also try lowering the memory timings and up the memory voltage a bit. I personally cant make it there as im runnign Kingston Value Ram lol... however the normal setting for achieving that O/C are 11x200 1.75VCORE and the memory varies with each brand. Try upping the memory voltage by .025 or .05. Good luck
