Athlon 750 Very Low Benchmark Scores, WHY???

I have ran several benchmarks all are scoring my 750 very low( about a 1/3 of what it should be)PC seems to be running stable. I've had no lockups, games seem to run fine. (Sandra,3D Mark 2000, Wintune) System dos'nt seem to run any faster than the K26/450 I just swapped out. I am using a 235W PSU. That would'nt slow down the CPU would it? The 450 got higher benchmarks! Can anybody tell me whats up with the benchmarks? This is really driving me crazy. My system:
Asus K7m
Athlon 750 Slot A
128 meg mem
on board sound
Diamond Stealth 32 meg PCI video

i have a mobo with the same chipset...AMD751 right? you have to install the AGP miniport driver found here along with some other AMD chipset drivers...also install the VIA 4 in 1s for the VIA south bridge chipset...i had the same problem quite a while ago
