To make sure im getting the right one they wanted me to find out the model number of the product. Does anyone know it becuase i cant find it anywhere and am in dier need of buying the new 90nm by this weekend.

OH MY GOD I COULD KISS YOU!!!!
thanks so much! ill go tomorrow with it and hopefully i can get it!
THANKS

i just hope that it has nothing to do with newegg, like its just a number for newegg to keep track.

ahhh thats it i have to use the name! its called the winchester.
And not all websites sell it for more money. Some sell it for same which im gonna get it for.
Ill try bringing both those item numbers and telling them its called the winchester.

just to let you know that is the winchester model (better from most reviews...*doesnt get as hot as newcastle*); the other socket 939 90nm is the newcastle model. It's slightly cheaper but they're both amd 3500 +. just depends on how much you're willing to spend. http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=19-103-463&depa=1 it's $273 as opposed to the one i have *winchester* http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=19-103-498&depa=1 $295

The only 939pin, 90nm cpu made by amd is the winchester core (currently). The newcastle is made on a 130nm process that is hotter, requires more power, and is ever so slightly slower than the winchester clock for clock.

well im gonna try but its gonna suck if they cant get it by this weekend becuase i really want this computer for halflife 2 this tuesday.
Thanks so much for helping

im having trouble. how the hell you tell if your buying the winchester version!
Where does it say on the box that its a winchester version? the computer store i been buying stuff for like 3 years from says he might be able to get it but hes supplier says hes not even sure if its the right one becuase it doesnt say anywhere and looks just like the newcastle box.

Anyone know becuase im geting really pissed off since now i know im not gonna have my computer up and running by halflife 2 day becuase i rather get a winchester.

anyone own the box of a winchester? i asked a company and they said that the last digits of the model number is B1
Can anyone confirm this? anyone have the box of even the newcastle and can tell me where on the box it has this model number and what it it?

Thanks so much for taking the time to help!

I just bought a AMD 64 3200+ Winchester Socket 939

Heres my Stepping code :-

AMD Athlon 64
ADA3200DIK4BI
CBBFD 0437RPCW

You can see the stepping on the chip through the window on the AMD 64 box

🙂

Thats perfect help.. thanks alot! saved a long trip for me becuase now i can just phone those punks and tell them to look for that B1 at end of code.

Thanks!
