Athlon 64 3500 $195 at Monarch Computer

The other CPU, if it truly is a 939 pin, is most likely the Winchester of Newcastle core. Why would it be more than the Venice since the Winchester and Newcastle are older?

The one for $267 is 130nm technology, either a Clawhammer or Newcastle. Venice and Winchesters are 90nm technology.

This is a great find OP, only hope the X2 3800 drops off soon too (probably wishful thinking)

And the higher price of the 130nm chip is because it is older and being phased out? Or did monarch screw up and they'll send you a 130nm chip for $195?

Wow, it's Revision E too. This is molten-hot. If my Winchester wasn't serving me just fine (and I wasn't eyeing an upgrade to Dual Core this Christmas) then I'd be all over this. Great find OP!

Hm, what is this, eWiz gets a shipment of 3000+ E6s and 3200+ E6s and Monarch gets 3500+ E6s? 🙂

Well, it's $60 difference between 3200+ & 3500+ now.
(plus eWiz vs. Monarch.)

Personally, I think the 3200+ deal is better. Why you ask? 🙂 I bought a 3500+ Winchester CBBID a while back that will only OC to 2.52 GHz. I later saw numerous users hittng nearly identical speeds with 3000 and 3200 Winchester CBBID cpu's. If you plan to run stock speeds, the 3500 is a great deal. For OC, the 3200 even possibly, the 3000 is the way to go...

This is a pretty good deal for the 3500 venice, shows prices slowly but surely dropping. This is the cheapest ive seen it at as of yet. Well, with the exception of ebay anyways. Of course, ebay doesnt really count.

I definatly agree with mucker. For ocing, you want a 3000 or 3200. You can get oem 3200's for $130 at ewiz I believe? and they OC pretty darn high. Its hard to beat that. Personaly, I dont oc, so I got myself a 3500 venice(off ebay a couple weeks ago for $180 shipped).

I wish there was a venice core cpu like the 754 3400 which has 2.4ghz. Thats the best deal for a stock cpu in my opinion. Make a damn cheap 2.4ghz amd please thank you! 😛

What? This deal IS the drop in price. Did you not read the original post?

It was going for $220 just last night.

I doubt Monarch will be dropping the price lower than this, at least within the next couple of weeks. Who knows, though.

I bought the 3500 Venice a few weeks ago and it is a great CPU. Runs ice cold at stock speeds (23°C at idle) (no A/C in the house). Of courese, the Scythe Ninja may have something to do with that 😉

I paid $223 shipped. Good deal OP!
