OMG hot hot hot!!! And plus you can combine with a mobo then get free HL2 and free farcry dvd!

I just bought a 3000+ a couple weeks ago for $150! lol

I just checked, deal seems to still be on.

All Monarch deals are automatically DEAD if you live in GA. They ship out of Tucker, so they get you with sales tax 🙁

that's ok cause nobody lives in GA anyway. btw, did anyone notice the XFX 6800GT pci-e for $368 ?

hey i just bought one like RIGHT NOW. Paided for it via paypal 2 mins ago. Seems like the 113 free shipping deal is still going on. Better price than newegg. Even newegg is 142 dollars shipped! WOOT saved 29 bucks. Good deal yall. Especialy when this is pretty good at overclocking. Althought the new venice core is about to come out, i couldnt resist. I'd rather spend that 29 dollars on a better heatsink/fan than the retail one anyways. Plus, it looks better with a zalman.

How could I pass this up?
Answer: I got in on the $113 and $everal hundred worth of other stuff. This can't be a hot deal if it made me spend all that other money...😀😀😀
1234, thanks 😕
Edited to say...
Now, I can wait for Toledo.

Deal's still on.

I know I'm an idiot for waiting for the Venice core to come out so I can pay 1/3 more for 1-2% performance but something inside me stops me from buying this. WHY?!?! The board I'm gonna buy is probably going to need a BIOS revision before the chip works and I'll probably never see any difference but I feel compelled to buy the latest and greatest (and overclock the hell out of it). Damn you AMD and Monarch, why do you mock me so?

Think about those of us who live in CA that have to pay sales tax on ALLLLLLLLL the newegg deals.

Care to trade? I'll surely pay sales tax on the Monarch deals in order to not pay sales tax on the $1000s I've spent at newegg.

Me too, could have saves hundreds if it weren't for the damn tax!

not just newegg but also mwave, Frys + lots of other such companies based in CA.

this was a great deal... i realize some of you are waiting for the venice core but it's not really worth paying $20-$30 more for an at most 2-4% gain..., you might as well spend more on a hsf or some other component to get much more stable and significant gains.

I thought the "Venice" was supposed to show up at 3200 & up. I see an A/T thread to the effect that pre-orders are going at about $199.

I agree it's a great deal to get a winchester for $113, but we still don't know about the Venice. If it consistently oveclocks to 2.8 ghz then it would be much better then most winchesters by much more then 2-4%. It could in fact be better by 15% or more depending on what your winchester can do. But we still don't know how good the Venice will be in reality. It could be that they won't overclock that much more than winchesters, we'll just have to wait and see. But for people that are happy with 2.4 ghz that most winchesters can usually achieve, this was a good deal.

Monarch has many of these special sales in the middle of the night for just a couple of hours for some reason.

Maybe the sales Mgr has to run an add but wants to be the only one who makes the purchase.

Why bother having a sale

Its the people who run the website, they get laid off, decide to get revenge, they lower the price on something. I'm jk but that would be interesting.

Please post your overclockin's results when you have them......

I also got the same CBBID0507, and on my a8n-sli it overclocks stable to 267x9=2400 mhz with 1.57 V (as shown by cpu-z and other monitoring programs). HTT is at 4x, memory is on "DDR333" divider setting resulting in about 220 mhz with 2.5-3-3-7 latencies.

I ordered 2, and both are the infamous CBBID 0507FPAW. They evidently had a bunch of them.

Sprinkle them on a $85 Chaintech Nforce4 Ultra, toss on a gig of $83 Value Ram, add some $89 Hitachi 160gig SATAII drives (about $57 for the 80giggers), lightly insert a recycled PCI bus video card, and you should have the makings of a cheap AMD64 bit server/computer.

$113+17 (OEM HSF)+85+83+57=$355, darned cheap for a socket 939 PC.

If I can just find some decent CHEAP Geforce PCI-e video cards that work well with Linux, I'll be set.
