Athlon 62 X2 Drivers

Yes, this a software question, but it is directly related to hardware, so here it is...

Which AMD/Microsoft drivers/software needs to be installed for the A64 X2? Also, if it more than one software package, which order should the software be installed?

Heh, the ms instructions on what to edit in the registry is for disabling the hotfix. They include a note that setting it to '1' turns it on. I know tech-heads have a hard time reading instructions but reading really is useful

I agree...I think the patch turns things on automatically.

will it make games run better FPS while doing multpile other things?

if so...do I just follow those instructions given after restarting and do I follow the SAME instruction on the MS site but with a '1' instead of ;0;?

I wouldn't put it past microsoft to be cheap and only implement 62 out of 64 bits. :laugh:

There are two windows drivers really, regardless of processor:
32-bit windows
64-bit windows

When I run amdcpu.exe it asks me if i want to REMOVE the selected application and all it's features? I never installed amdcpu.exe before? Is it removing the windows driver?
