Athlon 3200+ vs. Athlon X2 6000+

I would just like to mention I own an X2 5000 BE and it won't go past 3.1Ghz stable. I've also got an X2 7750 that I've yet to get running 100% stable over 3.0Ghz, and 3.0Ghz requires over 1.425V to get through more than a few hours of prime95. The Athlon X2's just don't overclock that well, your usually lucky to get past 3.2 stable.

There are some great suggestions thus far & I'm still evaluating all options. One update listed above is the SLI requirement of the MB.

You'll have to get a board with an Nvidia chipset if you want SLI. So anything with an AMD 780/790 or an Intel P43/P45 will not work.
