Anyone here running this chip that has tried OC'ing without upping voltage? What kind of speeds are you seeing and at what temps?

i don't have a 2600, mines a 2500... i think i was able to get to 2 ghz without voltage boosts...had to go to 1.8 to get 2.2
i wouldn't worry too much about voltage increases as long as you stay under 1.9 (with an XP)

Awesome! Essentially they're probably the exact same chip anyway...

I forgot to ask, did you do this using multiplier adjustments? Or just FSB? I only have the option for FSB myself

you can't adjust the multiplier unless you have the mobile Barton... whcih it appears you don't

You will ahve to simply adjust the FSB, depending on your board and your RAM you may be able to hit 2.1 or 2.2 on stock VCore. Since your default VCore is lower than the older Bartons (1.5 vs. 1.65) you have quite a bit more wiggle room. Are you running the stock heatsink or an after-market one?

why not up the voltage?

Mine can run at amd 3200+ speeds at stock 1.65v on an abit kd7 Via KT-400 chipset. Mine is mobile though.
