Athlon 1 gig from HP help

Here's the problem. I borrowed my friends Athlon 1 Gig Thunderbird and motherboard off of his old HP computer. Whenever i start up the computer, it'll show the Video Card bios screen (for my geforce2) then go black 9/10 of the time, like the rest of the bios isnt loading up. Any ideas what it could be? Could it be my generic 250 watt power supply?

Yeah . . . that could well be the problem. T-Birds like at least 300 watts. Did your borrowed mobo include the RAM as well? That could also be related.

Try unplugging devices like your hard drive of CD drive, that might give the motherboard more power, and you could see if the problem was PS related.
