Athlon 1.4ghz / DDR motherboard selection help needed

I WAS waiting for the Abit KG7-RAID, however, considering the delay in shipping, i need a motherboard NOW.
I would LIKE one with raid built in, if its possible

I've got 512mb of pc2100 ddr and all the other goodies here waiting on a mb, and need to get a mb asap to verify nothing is doa.

I've heard some mention of an EPOX board, no raid, and not sure if this is worth trying, as I had horrible experience with those branded boards in the past.

Any advice is welcome, and appreciated. thank you

Epox 8K7A+. It has onboard RAID, same Highpoint chipset as the Abit, and overclocks like a mofo. Great board... The 8K7A is the same board without RAID. Here are a few reviews..

thanks for the replies. i ordered the + version, looking forward to getting this screamer put together. if I am not mistaken this is a jumpered mb , no? it's been a while since i had to deal with those. wtf were they thinking

I have a very similar question, need a motherboard recommendation that supports 1.4GHz athlon and also 3-4 memory modules. Want to put 3 or 4 crucial 256MB DDR 2100's in it while prices are so good. From the reviews I read I think the Epox 8K7A+ only supports 2 modules. Any ideas?

This baby got double bios modules, in case you make mistakes while flashing the bios.

Keep in mind if you fill all 3 DIMM slots on that Gigabyte board, you're going to need registered memory.
