Well, I have a 1.2G TBird and 256m of mushkin rev 2 memory, I was running my system with this setting 9x133, but Í chaged for 12x100 because of some problems with my usb modem (creative blaster). How much performance am i losing? I didn't change anything else in the bios, so my memory is supposed to be a 133 ; am I losing something? The fsb just determines the processor velocity or the main ram also?

PS: Sorry about the english

Sad that 133 was a no go for you . Normally PCI, external stuff and IDE- disks etc should not care that you use 133 instead of 100 since PCI-speed APG and most everything else is at default. Are you sure everything is ok , memory , motherboard made for 133?
I have heard that the pefrormance hit should be like 5-10% lowering FSB from 133 to 100

My cpu is not overcloked an I'm using global win FOP 38 fan. My power supllier has 400w. I have 2 IBM's 75gxp hd(46gb)no raid. I am only using a creative geforce gts 64m on agp 4x, and creative platinum 5.1 on slot 3, and the creative modem in usb. My system has 256m of mushkim rev 2 memory 2.2.2. So I think the 9*133 combination must work well. Am I wrong?

So, now I have a new problem, the boot one. When I left the system off for more then 30 minutes when turn it on I hear some beeps and don't get any video signal, then I press the reset and the system boots fine. I've already cleaned the cmos, and read the kt7 faq but this problem is still there.

In regards to your usb problem:

Ive got an Abit Kt7a mobo and a 1.2 Ghz TBird. I have experienced usb problems with my computer also. I found a site refered to by someone on this board at go.to/kt7faq that has alot of Kt7/Kt7a info. There is one section that talks about USB issues and what to try. The only suggestion they had that worked for me was to get a separate pci usb controller. Now everything works fine. Im running 136FSB X 10 Multiplier and will be going for 138 later...

ANZA, when you select 133 FSB, make sure that you also select the 33PCI speed not the 44. If you want to check your memory at 133 you can still do this by selecting 100 FSB and using 133 just for the memory. This option is often set as HSTCLK + PCICLK.

I was thinking to buy usb- usb hub with the external power supplier. Do you think this could be of some use to go back to the 9x133 multplier-fsb setting? ( I really don't want to use the pci hub)
BTW is pci usb controller = pci usb hub?

Couple things to try.
In the bios, I think its in the pci/pnp options, make sure initial display is agp.
Try different video card.
Look for a forgein object(screw, washer) stuck somewhere around or on your motherboard.
