Ath. XP 1700 shows up as 1100mhz?

I have just started up my newly built computer for the first time and have set all the BIOS settings. But the processor is still coming up as Athlon XP 1100mhz when it boots. I have set the proper processor settings in BIOS. Why is this happening?

The multiplier on the 1700 is 11. 11 x 133 = 1466MHz. 11 x 100 = 1100MHz. You are obviously running on a 100MHz fsb instead of the 133Mhz. There should be a jumper or bios setting or both to switch to 133.

What motherboard do you have ? anyway you have the FSB set on 100fsb that`s why you get 11x100=1100mhz you need to set it at 133mhz FSB for 11x133=1467mhz
on my Epox 8KHA+ there`s a jumper for 100/133fsb setting.
