Loukoumades, if you are ever at a Greek Festival (like I was) or Restaurant these are a must. They're a cross between a doughnut and fried dough covered in a honey sauce.

For the record I still say on a snowy day before shoveling, pancakes are better than waffles

Why is Greek fried dough superior to other fried dough? Almost every culture has a fried dough recipe and they're all good. You can't do it in a way which turns out bad.

If you have an opportunity to try them do it and you'll understand. Something about the topping with honey elevates their taste.

Tiramisu always great also, depends on what you are doing, and where you are at :)

It's one of those very, very rarely type of things as far as those go though.

I made a tiramisu last night and am having a piece as I type this. Nice timing. And that chocolate cherry thing looks great too.

Loukoumades are great but if you can find a Greek-Cypriot loukoumade vendor vs a straight up Greek vendor you will find the better version. Instead of a sticky honey sauce they use a cinnamon infused simple syrup. Same deep fried balls - better flavor. Shamishi is another great deep-fried dough dessert. You can find it in Cyprus on the Greek side but it's Turkish in origin. Amazing also.

Chocolate creme pie can be dangerously good. It's hard to stop eating it even if I'm already full.

I'm pretty simple. Peach cobbler.
I've never had a peach cobbler I liked much. The pastry part is always too doughy. Or maybe I've always had under-done peach cobblers? o_O

The perfect dessert is likely the one that I am eating at moment. It probably has chocolate on or in it. Variety is the spice of life. Don't try to limit me.

For Greek desserts, it is hard to say no to Baklava.
