Atari was sweet I remember playing that all the time when I was a little kid.

I had the original woodgrain 2600. Got it in '81 or '82. I think I gave it away with all the cartridges around 85 (I was 15...too 'cool' for atari). Man I wish I kept it.

I never could figure out Atari 2600.
All my friends had them.
My family had an Odyssey][ and then an Atari 400 and then a C64.
I couldn't figure out why all my friend's crappy "computers" didn't have keyboards and could only play cartridges but not tapes or disks.
I'm still pissed my dad sold that C64 and like 500 games.
I since acquired a C128, but I'll never be able to reconstruct the game collection.
Not like you can't easly get them from Frodo and Lemon64 but THAT'S NOT THE POINT!

had one also...did you guys ever mess ...hmmm...how do i say this....if you kind put the game in 1/2 way it would look and play all funky....like in pitfall you would not die....maze craze ran all fast and strange...just all sorts of diff efects on diff games

i rmember our upgade we got after the 2600.....the 5200 woooooooooooowwwwwwww =P

Got mine for christmas from Santa Claus.

Would have to say my favorites was Yars revenge and pitfall. Combat and space invaders was the shiznet for a while though.

I think my favorite console of all times would be the original nintendo though

We had the original woodgrain one forever too until it finally broke. We DID pick up the later all-black version of it though. I think I had somewhere between 80-100 games for it. Still have them at my parents house somewhere. I remember you could get a certain score and send in a picture of it and they'd send you a little patch or something. I think Pitfall and Missile Command had to be my all-time favorites.

We got one back in 77 or so. I have no idea what happened to it. My mom probably threw it out. We had one of the first pong games too.
