atapi.sys crash in XP

I installed a new AGP video card today (Radeon 9200) and since I've had to blue screen memory dumps with atapi.sys listed as the source of the problem. Both times, I was installing from a cd or loading a game from a cd.

I assume the problem is from the cd drives or the ide channels. Any ideas, anyone?

My cdrom drives have seem to quit behaving usefully too. I think it has something to do with copyright protection and games. It might also have to do with CloneCD - though I can't seem to uninstall CloneCD through the normal means.

Every time I try to install something from the CD, it just pauses before copying files and stays that way until I end the task. When I launch an installed game (in this case, Diablo 2: LOD), the cdrom spins then stops and spins and stops during the entire game. So, a single player game is laggy.

For some reason, both the CD burner and DVD burner seem to burn cds and DVDs just fine.

So perhaps when someone lets you know how to fix the atapi problem, I can try it on my computer too.
