ATA66 vs. ATA133: Is there a noticable difference?

Hi there...

I just popped in a new Maxtor ATA133 hard drive in my computer, although my motherboard only supports ATA66. Would it be worth it to buy an ATA133 controller card to run it at ATA133 instead of ATA66? Would I notice a difference?

Thanks!

unless you find a good deal on a controller card , i wouldn't bother for now.

you really won't see your drive max out that ata66 for the most part

as long as the drive is 7200 rpm, you're good to go

No,

Most hard drives can't even saturate DMA33, let alone ATA66 or higher.

I'm not saying there is no difference, but that the difference is generally quite minor.
