ata100

When I bought my new mobo, I put in my promise ata100 card. But if my board supports ata100 do I need it? My burner and my cd are ata66. They are each masters on IDE 1 and 2. My hd is ATA100 and attatched to the card. If I remove the card, then I'll have to put my cds as master and slave. Is there an optimal configuration?

maybe it is for him! :Q

If it's not too much trouble could you steer me in the right direction? And if you're looking for a technical challenge, see my other post!

You people are so god damn touchy.

I was merely telling you that this thread should have been in general hardware or tech support.

In the "Read this before posting" thead at the top of this forum it says in big bold letters: Questions regarding troubleshooting, technical support, and product advice belong in other appropriate forums such as General Hardware, Networking, Video, etc. They have more traffic and, they are visited by knowledgable, enthusiastic members eager to share good advice and help troubleshoot problems.
