ata100 setting

I have a ibm 40gig 7200 rpm ata100 hd but i cant figure out how to set it to ata100. right now its at ata33. i bought it oem and there wasnt any software or anything with it. can anyone point me in the right direction?

Make sure UDMA is enabled in bios, and correct IDE drivers are installed for your mobo. Your mobo has to support it, and you need the ata 100 80 wire IDE cable.

also, ibm has software on their website that allows you to enable ata100. you should check that out

i checked the settings for bios and udma is enabled and still no luck. I checked the ibm website but none of the programs listed show anything about ata100 settings or anything. do you know which program does it? i tried a few but havent found any settings still. thanks

running win98se
kk266 motherboard with ata100 cable. i got ata100 working on another computer same setup accept western digital drive. but that came with software that worked. the same one wouldnt work for the ibm drive. im stuck..
