ATA100 card after win2k install?

I've got an ECS K7S5Amainboard with win2kpro. I would like to add a promise ATA100 card for more IDE channels. Can I put my hardrive on this contoller without reinstalling the OS? Anyone tried it with success?
 
yes you can.
install the card without anything attached to it,load the drivers then move your hdd over to the controller card.
