ATA > SATA Converter

While changing horses in mid-stream  , have found myself looking at a possible hybrid system issue. Currently have a 160gb SATA and a couple of ATA 80gb HDDs. Would like to run the two 80s in raid whatever and use the 160 as the primary. BUUUUT would like to use SATA cables, as this is a "small" case and would like to avoid ATA ribbon/rounded cables.

Has anyone had success using converters such as:

I second ribbon13. I have three of those dongles and they all work fine. I bought them when they were closer to $25 each 🙁

The only issue I have with those would be how much more depth does it add? Space is somewhat of a premium behind the HDDs
