I was trying to put a single IBM 75gxp into the ide3 connector on the kt7 (so that I could take advantage of the 100 mb/s) but it would not find the drive upon boot... is this because I must have the drives raided or is there a setting I must adjust in the bios?

thanks..

I don't have my KT7-RAID yet, but as far as I understand,
you have to change the boot order in the CMOS to point the the
highpoint controller first; for any devices that are booting
from IDE3 or 4.

I just got my KT-7 Raid up and running with one Maxtor ATA100 drive. I just plugged it into the ATA100 bus, set the boot partition from the highpoint controller (by hitting Ctrl-H when prompted to do so), and then set the primary boot device to be the ATA100 in the bios.

HTH and good luck.
