I am building a new machine on an asus a7v133 board and I am using a IBM deskstar GX HD. This connects through a seperate ata 100 channel, and I can't seem to find where in the bios this seperate ata 100 channel is located. can anyone give me a couple pointers?
There is no separate ATA100 channel. Just connect it to the regular IDE channel. It should detect automatically. Check the bios as it boots to confirm it is recognized.
You do not need the RAID controller for ATA100 on the A7V133. Disable it in the bios to speed booting.
