ATA 100 Card/SCSI problem

I'm trying to use a SCSI harddrive connected to an Adaptec 19160 along with an IDE harddrive connected to a Promise Ata 100 Card. The IDE is the bootdrive but when it starts up its looking at the Scsi hd for the boot partition. The problem is that with this bios, I need to set the boot option to SCSI for it to recognize the ATA card, but since I do that, it also recognizes the scsi and for some reason gives that priority. Is there a way around this to boot to the IDE card/drive and keep the scsi drive in there too?

Also, I checked in the Scsi utility about disabling it as a boot option but it doesn't allow this.

I found another IDE drive to use instead so I took the scsi hd out. If anyone has tips tho I'd still like to hear them - maybe it would be useful later.

I seem to recall that the position of the cards determine the boot priority.
as such, suggest you reverse the order of your present cards ie scsi card into ata card slot & vice versa.
can't guarantee that I'll work though!
