they moved Detect invis to the voidwalker in 3.0 (i think) to try and get away from the felpuppy being the arena pet. that dint work. If they are removing it im assuming its because of that

as for stones IDK why they would remove them. IIRC earlier the new soul shard system changes could be used with stones for more healing, removing them for other people would be strange

Not the stealth detection increase wqhich was moved from a useful spell on the pup to that stupid void channeled ability, but the detect mage/kara invis spell.

It is dependent on where you goo hits you. It has a larger damage radius than debuff radius.

You're definitely right. I checked out the logs and actually did get the debuff a couple of times, but I never noticed it. Putricide is an instant-cast heavy fight for me.

'Shard Management' is something that many Warlocks have wanted improved for some time, and Blizzard are responding by making it "simpler". The result appears to be that a Warlock may only have a small number of them, but the need to use them is also being revised.


Personally, I *like* the flavor to the class that Soul Shards bring, and feel that the issue with them is that the overwhelming usage is utilitarian (Summon meh!!), rather than being able to use them for something powerful and worthwhile to the caster. Perhaps whatever changes Blizzard implement will make them something cool to play with.

You won't be obtaining 80-85 BoA gear until you hit at least 85 on one of your characters, which means you won't be doing so for a few months.

Is there new BoA/Heirloom gear coming out with Cataclysm release? If there is, can anyone cite the source. I don't recollect hearing abou this. Thx

They've already stated WotLK BoA items will not level past 80, but I don't know if they cease to function altogether. I will probably just keep all my 277 / 284 gear on until 80 if I come back and play Cat.

I think it was stated they won't work past 80. I can see no problem otherwise. The "Riding Crop" was altered to not work after 70, is an example of what is happening. I think it is just to make sure everyone has a "fair" chance to hit the world / server / class / race firsts.

I can almost gurantee that boas will work for new worgen/gnomes as they arleady said they had no problem with someone starting one as a DK and getting race first that way.

But, as with other "enhancing items" that would make you level from 80-85 faster, I am sure these will not work. You will have to be at the level cap in order to get them.

There will be new BoAs that you purchase at level 85 that work from 1-85.

Blizzard still needs to work on Rogue Assassination talents... tier 1 still has too much filler for PVE.

When I said stones were removed I meant the firestone/spellstone (at least the note said create FS/SS abilities were gone). After being fairly worthless crap for the most part, the stays in inventory and applies buff to weapon is by far the most useful they've been in game.

I can confirm that at least on beta, the current BoA items work with Worgen/Goblins.

What really pisses me off is to request a password change all you need to know is the account name and the first and last name of the account. Thankfully I have an authenticator attached to the account so it appears no harm has been done.

I play from two different computers which I am the only person who has access. MalwareBytes and AVG both report the system as clean. I have all of the latest Windows patches installed.

Debating if I want to create a new e-mail account and change my Battle.net account name. Who knows how long that would last before this happens again. Any suggestions?

I get goofy emails all the time concerning "EULA Violations" and "Password Changes", luckily the morons send it to an email not even connected to my bnet account. Since the realID went live (I have 2 friends, both in my guild), I've gotten a couple on my actual bnet email. I am not even sure if you can change the login email itself. It would see the phishers are getting more and more clever.

Got my ICC10 drake last night! Looks pretty nice. Our off tank hadn't even done most of the fights and is now 11/12 HM lol. My first 10m Lich King kill got me the drake though so that was nice.

I don't know for sure, but some people on the official forums have mentioned that there was (still is?) a hack that allowed anyone on the same server to see your Real ID info in game. I don't know if it's been patched yet. That's one reason some people have been enabling the parental controls for their accounts.

I just recently made a unique email for Battle.net and finally added an authenticator even though I only play occasionally and my account is currently inactive. I take long breaks and I don't want to find my stuff is gone months after it happened.

It's probably a good idea to switch your email and password regularly.

There was also a blue post that said they finally added email confirmation to adding an authenticator, so hopefully that will cut down on hackers adding emulated authenticators when they hack accounts.

So we're 10/12 Heroic 25 now with 30%, not bad for a guild that's raids Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-11 Could of been better though. Putricide was actually fun to me as a healer, lots going on.

Any pointers for Sin heroic, since she has two of my BiS pieces I'm dying to get her down.
