I wasn't trying to "own" anyone, I just didn't feel like credit was given where it was due.

I hereby commence to give Schfifty Five full credit for dispensing advice at approximately 4 months, 2 hours and 35 minutes ago for detailing the dispersion tactic to use in Ice Crown Citadel against the 25 man encounter FesterGut.

Actually he was pointing out that I told you about the dispersion trick way back when, and that credit was supposed to be towards me haha. It wasn't really about you saying 6 months when it was 4, but that you thought you read about it somewhere. It's all good though, I was just making sure you knew about it one way or another.

I have added you, Ice, and Juju to my ignore list. Grats on the no-prize for the successful troll combo on me.

LOL are you serious?

So I try to help out and this is what I get? Interesting...

Ok so let's recap the chain of events:

-Juddog mentions he did a record 9.5k dps on festergut
-I come in and ask if he knew about dispersion trick since it could help improve dps
-Juddog says he knew it a long time ago
-Juju posts that it was I who pointed out that trick to Juddog back then
-Juddog gets upset that someone said "owned" to him
-Juju and I were not attacking juddog in anyway
-Juddog decides to get really upset and ignores 3 people, 2 of which were not doing anything to deserve it, and 1 who was really only helping.

.....confused.

The frostwyrm is awesome....i got mine last week.

Heroic Putricide and Sindragosa are no joke.....be prepared to spend a few hours one each one if you haven't downed them yet.

This is an all guild group and we kill heroic PP in 25m every week with a billion p3 wipes on HM Sindy. Not to mention we 1shot almost all the achieves, with the except of Sindy beause our OT got 6 stacks and LK took 3 tries.

You should have no problems then with Heroic PP 10m. 25m Heroic PP is supposed to be way harder than 10m isn't it?

Let the paranoid be paranoid.

It's like people screaming in BG chat. Some get angry and try to retaliate. I sit back and laugh. It's great entertainment.

Any pointers on PP25 Heroic would be appreciated, we're currently on him...

we don't have the add on for the plague which might help us.

Be very vocal on the plague is the first thing. If everyone doesn't have a mic, it will be a pain. During transition phases have all melee, regardless of debuff, stack on green until it targets someone; have everyone explosion blast people into the middle of the room. Lust during the P2-3 transition and blow the oozes away. Try it with 3 tanks, but if you're wiping in P3 due to stack damage, try entering another in the rotation; this is highly based on healing and dps though.

We originally downed it with AVR, but have very little problems with it afterwards.

Quick question for you guys. My friend and I decided to take the leap and try creating our own raiding guild. It's actually not going too bad right now, we've already assembled what appears to be a pretty well geared group with most having plenty of ICC experience.

We already picked up a decent warrior tank. I would love to have the other tank be a paladin and am almost unwilling to budge on it. Is there is any reason to consider a DK or bear tank to compliment the warrior? We do already have a holy pally that I'm optimistic will work out, and a ret pally that I'm iffy on and will bring him into ICC next week on a trial basis. If the ret pally works out, I'm not sure 3 paladins is the best way to go. We already have a tree healer though, so druid buffs are covered in the event a bear tank was considered.

Any advice on which way to go?

DK's are very good at tanking Sindragosa and LK because of their cooldowns. Bears are great for tanking Sindragosa and LK because over half the damage is magic damage and bears have a large health pool. Also druid buffs are not covered, you don't have LOTP without a feral.

You don't really need a pally tank. Right now they do provide sanc, but that'll change in cata anyway.

My thought process was that a pally tank would be good for AoE purposes, but I guess I was misguided. I actually really like the idea of a bear tank now.

Bear tanks are real good for certain fights because they have more cool downs than other tanks. They can tank fights easier than some of the others. Also, 130k HP bear is not very squishy.

I've always disliked pally AoE capability on those darned rot worms on valithria. I'd much rather have a thunderclap than that.

I've always just had a hunter on each side. I hit MD as soon as the Abomb dies and start the Volley spam. All rot worms to tank and everyone else can AoE as well.

DK's are by far my favorite compliment to a warrior tank. That's just a personal view as a tree healer though.

Our MT's right now are a DK and Pal with Warrior for 3 tank fights. Two Bear tanks just in case.

I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips on Heirloom gear. I haven't had the need for it, but wanted to get some stuff ready for when Cat arrives. So far I've noticed that it can be purchased form Argent Tourney vendors, a vendor in Wintergrasp, and I believe emblem vendors (If there are any others, please tell). Is there any difference in the stats/per level between the different sources? Is the emblem heirloom gear any diff than the gear from Argent Tourney? Is any one source/vendor better than another or are they all the same?

The only main difference between heirloom gear is the PVP vs. non-PVP gear. The gear available from the Argent Tournament has the exact same stats as the ones you can buy using the tokens you get from heroics (after trading the tokens down).

In terms of gearing up I used some of the Wintergrasp heirloom gear just because I have a huge amount of tokens laying around from doing heroics over the past few months so it was close to free, versus the other tokens which still have things that I can use (e.g. gems, or int he case of argent tournament the mount bridle, mounts, pets etc.).

DKs are excellent AoE tanks, when I spec prot I can't pull shit off our DK tank. Of course this guy is amazing but still, I know how to push threat and it's not like his mitigation/health are lacking.

I really don't see a "must have paladin tank" argument that's viable. I'd focus on other things like: are they good at their class, can they tank w/o having the "I'm the center of attention" attitude tanks often have (meaning they can't share taking duties well), do they know the fights, etc. Get those traits on separate tank classes and you're good to go. Blizz delivered fairly well on the "bring the person not the class" thing with regards to tanks.

Good luck!
