Leveling alts is such a chore without a flying mount. Ugh. I'm combing the edge of cliffs, trying to get to some quest objective or another, looking for whatever narrow entry or passage way they created on whatever obscure side to let me into a questing area over and over again and it just gets so tiresome. How is this "improving" gameplay again? What a pain. As if it wasn't enough they nerfed mounting speed in WoD as it is.

I don't mind lfr being a thing as it does give players the chance to see end game without being hard core. But my suggestions would be they shouldn't have the final boss of raids in lfr. That leaves something to play for in raids other than just loot.

With mediocre rewards it doesn't even drop real tier gear.

The rewards may have a lower item level than Normal mode, but they're still far better than normal or heroic dungeons, which actually require you to work together. Even Blizzard admitted that they've marginalized their own content (the dungeons).

Anyway, what bothered me about doing LFR is that it was just really, really boring. That lack of effort just means that I'm not engaged at all. It's kind of the same problem that I have with Blizzard simplifying certain combat mechanics. For example, my Rogue doesn't have to pay attention to Slice and Dice anymore, because it's a passive.

I have a couple friends who are simply bad WoW players. I've tried helping them, but it's just not in their genes or something. I'm glad LFR is around for them.

the only issue with LFR now is that its TOO easy
it was fine in MOP, it was not that hard but you still could F it up due to mechanics/bad players

LFR today is easier then some 5 mans

The recently announced WoW Token is currently in testing on the PTR, and is slated for launch some time after the March 24 release of Patch 6.1.2. In the meantime, we wanted to share some additional details about the Token, including regional pricing information and more on our global rollout plans.

WoW Token Rollout

We’ll begin rolling out the WoW Token in the weeks following Patch 6.1.2’s release, starting with the Americas game region (including realms serving North America, Oceania, and Latin America) and then expanding to other game regions in the weeks after that. Launching the Token once Patch 6.1.2 has been live for a while will help us ensure the foundation for the feature is solid, and kicking things off with a single region is the best way for us to ensure everything’s going smoothly before launching worldwide. We’ll provide further updates on timing as we get closer to the Token’s launch in each region.

Region-wide Exchange

As discussed in our original announcement, each game region (Americas, Europe, Korea, Taiwan, and China) will have its own shared WoW Token exchange. When the rollout begins in the Americas game region, players in North America, Latin America, and Oceania will all be able to purchase a WoW Token from the in-game Shop. In the Americas game region, the price of a Token will be $20 USD (or roughly equivalent in each local currency). We’ll share additional regional pricing details as we get closer to launch.

Once purchased, a Token can then be put up for sale in a region-wide exchange via a new Game Time tab in the Auction House. (Note that while you’ll see the new Game Time tab in that auction house with the launch of Patch 6.1.2, it won’t be active until the WoW Token launches in your region.) While the rest of the Auction House will remain realm-based, a region-wide WoW Token exchange will provide the largest possible pool of prospective buyers and ensures everyone has access to a vibrant, active Token marketplace. In the Americas, Europe, Korea, and Taiwan, players who purchase a WoW Token from the Auction House will be able to redeem it for 30 days of game time.

Going for Gold

Because the Token exchange has to start somewhere, we will be setting the initial gold value of the WoW Token ourselves. The starting gold value in each region will be based on several factors, including regional in-game economies, but ultimately our goal is to select a fair and reasonable starting price. After that, the Token’s gold value will be determined dynamically based primarily on player supply and demand. Simply put, if more WoW Tokens are being listed than are being purchased, the price will automatically drift downward over time. If people are purchasing Tokens from the Auction House faster than they’re being put up for sale, then prices will go up accordingly. As a reminder, to help make sure players can trade WoW Tokens confidently, once a Token sells, the seller will receive the amount of gold they were quoted at the time they listed their Token.

We know a lot of you are excited to exchange a WoW Token or two, and we’re looking forward to making the feature available in the near future. We’ll provide additional updates on the rollout of the WoW Token feature soon.

For the people that complain about LFR being too easy. Its not for you. Why is it a big concern to you if its easy? Blizzard wanted it to be that way. LFR isn't for the people who have raid teams or have time to be apart of raid teams. All I can do is LFR and is it easy? Yes! and I am ok with that. I run them once or twice just to see the encounter and move on.

I wish. I'm with you, but I want the ring upgrades!

I know this is going to come across as wanting something for nothing, but I really wish they'd get rid of the whole "gather 125 of these stones, then gather NINE HUNDRED of those runes" thing after the first character. Change those to be account wide, so new characters just have to do the "kill and loot" quests for the ring upgrades.

Even with the so called "boost" to drop rates on alts, it takes way too damn long to get caught up in a game where their focus has been easily allowing people to gear up their alts. Running HM for 6 weeks only to turn around and run BRF for 6 weeks isn't exactly what I call quick.

My priest has the 690 and ~450 runes toward the 710. My mage, who I want to make my "main" is 120/125 on the stones for the 690, I should get it tonight, but I will not be getting the 710 on her. With the exception of a weapon and gloves, she's already geared through BRF LFR ... and once a weapon drops, I'm done.

That is pretty nice. Should have some time to play and need to get a couple new followers. May go out and change outpost types to get those 2, still need leroy too. Getting a list of 25 follow missions and only 5 aren't XP with all purple followers not that usefull.

Do you guys actually level up all of your followers? I deactivated some early on before they were level 100 and have never gone back to them since I haven't really had a need. I think I have 35 level 100 epic on my one character, with another 7-8 deactivated that I've never bothered leveling.

I only level the useful ones. I grab some new ones from the headhunter every week to replace shitty ones.

If you aren't recruiting a new follower each week from the Inn, then level them to epic to see what they get, you're doing something wrong. Currently you should be recruiting (or should have) treasure hunters. You should also reroll any decent high ilvl follower in hopes of getting it until you have at least 3 good ones.

I didn't level ALL my follower to 100/epic, because I could see early on they were crap. IE The one counter they have at level 96 isn't one I needed at the time.

The ones I have deactivated were either:

--Blue/green followers with counters I had too many of already (danger zones, powerful spell) prior to the increase in appearance of the reroll token missions.

--Low ilvl epic followers I deactivated to make room for scavengers pre 6.1. I deactivated most anything I could with danger zones AND the +xp traits with the exception of one follower that has +35% hearthstone pro + 35%xp trait + epic mount.

--Followers I deactivated to make room for treasure hunters. I selected the deactivations by using the list of unused followers in the missions of interest tab from MasterPlan.

I find that deactivating just based upon MasterPlan can be a little dangerous. Sure, you avoid deactivating anyone used for a Highmaul or Blackrock Foundry raid mission, but you also ignore your counter distribution, which hurts your ability to do any other mission... including those that would help you level your new follower! I remember looking for the next follower to deactivate on one of my toons and MasterPlan would've had me deactivate a follower that was one of my three counters.

I don't know if there's a chance to hire an epic follower from the Inn, but that would be nice since you could just drop a near exact follower that doesn't have the trait you want. The only thing to worry about would be whether that follower's other traits were really good as MasterPlan tends to use those to try to create a successful BRF group.

As for who I drop, I try to go based upon my counter distribution.

Speaking of MasterPlan, I wish the success rate on the Missions of Interest tab was actually accurate. It always lists my BRF missions as 100%, but they're almost never that high. After failing a 93% one the other day, I was incredibly wary to send off an 89% combination that MasterPlan setup (and stated was 100%).

Make sure your followers have the ilvl that MasterPlan sets up. Some of the BRF missions that MP shows as 100% require all 3 of my followers to be at ilvl 675 instead of just 660.

Otherwise, is your version of MP up to date? I don't think it should make a difference for that, but I guess it might.

Ohhh... I thought that requiring ilevel 675 was a bug in the add-on!! 😳

speaking of followers I have something like 50 645+ epic followers on my main, the only low level ones I can get now are from the inn, I have 6 scavengers and 7 treasure hunters (rerolled a cpl) I can make nearly 10k a week on him alone - the mythic HM mission give 4k gold when run with 3 treasure hunters

and I have 5 level 100s with basically the same alignment of followers just less of them total.
