in addition to that, you can also head hunt new, randomly generated followers once/week at the Garrison inn (L2) with specific traits (eg: I head hunted a 2nd BS follower so that I could have one parked at the black smith building while leveling the other)

I'd strongly recommend epic horse or scavenger and look for a free follower with profession skills (not sure if one exists for BS, just saying in general). These two, especially horse are very valuable. Those 615+missions are 4 hours base time, many are 8-10.

Tradeing post + salvage yard + warmill are basically essential if you plan on leveling your followers up to be able to do the raid missions

a number of my guildies have 4-5 followers over 645 ilvl and have done the raid mission. one of them has gotten 2 655 (I think) trinkets from doing them

what does the trading post do for gearing up followers? I thought that was just for trading mats for resources.

I've actually had utterly shit luck with war mill work orders and stopped doing them after wasting a hundred resources on nothing but scraps... figure I'll come back and start doing them again after upgrading all my buildings to L3 first.

allows you to generate more resources to feed to the warmill + other things - im pretty resource scrapped mostly because I had no idea how most of this worked when I started and built/upgraded things that I didn't need

level 3 profession buildings are pointless if you log in every day. at level 2 you have 28 hours of work orders if you fill all 14

Level 3 mine and Herb are worth it just to generate recourses. Fishing prob is as well if you fish (I don't)

Level 3 scavenger hut is amazing for gearing up followers
Level 3 barracks is good for getting more followers but will take time to level 20 to 100 to unlock

makes sense.

at the moment, I'm saving up resources to upgrade the Barracks and War Mill to level 3... figure once those are done, I can go back to throwing resources at War Mill work orders.

I've been super happy with the lumber mill in terms of resource generating, though. I usually keep myself capped out at 250/250 lumber just from farming while doing the daily Apexis quest.

Finally unlocked the level 3 salvage yard blueprints this morning, so I started building that before work. I have 10 missions active right now, hopefully the bonus chance for crates applies to those.

I have the achievement to unlock the level 3 war mill, but not the resources. I will also have the achievement for the level 3 barracks in 1-2 days, so that will get built first for the additional followers as I have 3-4 epic ones sitting inactive. Should get more resources too if I stop sending level 100 epic guys on xp missions just for the chances at salvage crates to get the achievement. Not sure if I will or not, I still need lots of ilvls on my followrs.

I have 33 followers (maybe 34 after Croman, I forget), split 11/11/11 between epic/blue/green, but I have 2 blues close to epic and 3-4 greens close to blue. Hoping for more scavenger traits -- I got one from recruiting in the inn and one after I rerolled Croman's stats using whatever item does that. My next recruit will be a group damage counter as I only have two, and at one point this weekend I had four 8-10 hour missions that required a total of 6 group damage counters.

I have ~25, maybe 28 followers at level 100. Only 2 at 630 (I can/will upgrade #3 tonight), ~10-12 at 615, and the rest at 600. This has gotten me some decent gear actually -- I got an ilvl 636 warforged intellect trinket this morning. Also 636 warforged + socketed boots last night, even if it did have haste/versatility -- it still was a small upgrade over my optimal haste/crit 636 warforged (no socket) boots. I'll get my 3rd 630 follower today, so hopefully I can get even better gear.

Dropped mining to pick up tailoring over the weekend, and replaced my enchanting building with the tailoring one. The 630 cloth chests are bugged and are not dropping out of LFD with personal loot. I'm sure it will get fixed at some point, as soon as it's deemed a bug instead of RNG, but since I don't know how much I'll raid anyway, the crafted pieces + upgrades are probably my best path to gearing. The sumptuous fur is super easy to farm, I got about 450 between heroic queues yesterday. Also, I bought out a ton of windwool so that when my tailoring is high enough (will take a while at 11 skillups/day using daily CD's) I can make 28 slot bags for myself. The 16s aren't cutting it this xpac with all the useful stuff I need to keep on me at all times.

Inscription building is still making me crazy good cash -- probably up to 30k now. Some cards selling for under 1k now, the highest are down to 3k. Ore prices have come back up to 1.25-1.3g per, but herbs are down to 1.5-2g per instead of 3-3.5 that they had been. Sold a few ilvl 525 BoE blues for 300-350g each. Started using an auction addon and made an additional 1500-1800g this weekend just from buying out things listed for 30-40% of every other stack on the market -- I got multipe 150+ stacks of herbs at one point for 25s/herb and sold them within 20 minutes for 2g per. Same with ores -- someone listed 4x 200 stacks of blackrock ore for 15s/ore and all others at the time were 1.5g/ore. Not sure why I didn't get an addon like that sooner.

I came in really late with the inscription building this time around, only managed to make one card, was selling at 5k when i got it and by the time i was able to sell it it was down to sub 500 prices

I made the inscription building on my alt, made first card yesterday, it sold for ~1500
its pretty much free money at this point reguardless of what they sell for

I've sold cards from $1000 to $10,000. Most recent one is $7000 yesterday. I just refuse to sell under $1000.

The complete decks are cheaper than the single cards. I've seen decks for $20-30k.

I haven't spent much time gearing my Rogue, so I was a little excited when I saw that the game offered me a mission for an ilevel 630 weapon of my specialization. However, I was less than enthused to find out that it's currently bugged for Assassination as the game gave me a mace. I've got a ticket in with Blizzard to try and get it swapped to the right item, but I haven't heard anything back yet. 🙁

I've been spending some time leveling other characters. I have my Shaman+Mage combo at level 94. I also pushed and got my Warrior+Priest combo to level 90. My goal is to get the main professions to at least having a garrison to work in. So, I'll need to also level up my Paladin+Warlock (Paladin is a BS) and Death Knight+Druid (Druid is a Scribe). I've been trying to figure out which zones I consider the least painful in Panda-land, and I think I'm kind of digging Kun-Lai Summit. I skipped the second zone entirely on my Warrior+Priest combo as I've never liked it, and did Krarasang Wilds instead, which was okay. I skipped the Zhu village stuff because rolling the fat panda was annoying when multi-boxing.

Level 3 Barracks requires you to do 50 patrol missions to unlock it. I don't think the 20 followers at level 100 achievement unlocks anything.

its the opposite on my server

I bought the cards to make the deck for 22k
full decks were going for 30-40k

people cant do math

don't think any card is over 5k anymore for me

Are the followers from the inn temporary for that week?

And can you improve followers green > blue, blue > epic etc?

You get to keep the followers, and can level them like any other. All 3 followers I had the option of recruiting for this last week were level 90, so I'm guessing they all start there. I do believe sometimes you can get a blue follower to appear as an option ... I think I remember seeing a screenshot that had a blue one.

The three followers with the trait you are looking for are randomly upgraded like other followers you can get, only you see that upgrade on the selection screen (I'm assuming that's the mechanic). IIRC you can recruit an epic as well, although all mine have been green so far.

you dont need to leave the follower at the prof building to get the bonus, he only needs to be there when you do the pickup to get the bonus

i just move mine in in the morning and then pickup and reset work orders
then i take them out and sent them on missions

Seriously? I'll have to try that. I figured they had to be there as each work order completed.

Also, I happened across a phenomenal new addon last night for follower management called Master Plan. Makes managing your followers much more enjoyable. Disclaimer: I am not connected to it in any way.

I think the ones you get from an inn can only be blue or green, at least according to what I read earlier.

went out and picked up the rest of the non instance ones I didn't have except the stupid skinner which is bugged.

Built the Inn again and leveled it to 2 so i can get some more counter variety, first follower i hired was a blue at level 90, gonna be a while leveling since the missions where i can carry him are really high

Master Plan is great

use it with Garrison Mission Manager

they work together and make it super easy

the one weird thing I've noticed is that success % can change depending on the order of your party, and it doesn't always make total sense (eg: for one mission, I had the highest completion chance when I ordered the followers as: required ilevel/required skill | low ilevel/required skill | high ilevel/no skill)

Try to keep a couple of followers available at low level. IE have a sub 94 for the lvl 94 resource mission. Have a +94 so you have lvl 96-98 missions for leveling. If you have all 100s and 1 sub 100 you'll get the scenario you describe. It tries to give you missions for the levels of your active followers.

I read this before but I can't re-create it and I have tried a bunch of different combinations. High level follower with counter first, lowbie second. Swap, the same. High level follower w/o counter, lowbie with counter. Swap, no chance.

Same thing with 3 follower missions, order just doesn't chance my %, ever. It's not that I don't believe you, I just think there's a very specific situation that creates this.

What does the mission manager do?

mission manager will tell you which of your followers will have the highest % chance for any particular mission (although it doesn't take into account the aforementioned weird issue where some teams will have a higher % depending on their order... if I see it again, I'll have to take screenshots)
