Had cancelled my account but fell into the game again, started playing hunter and got it to 100 finally, pvp on hunter is pretty fun so far

Have you been doing random BG's? How are they? Do you get the lootboxes from those? Is the gear curve pretty bad for someone in PVE gear?

My priest is ~642ish in pve gear, I'm going to assume it wouldn't be pretty...

Everything in pvp scales to ilvl 650 except for pvp pieces which scale to 675 and 690 i think, it didn't feel that bad, was doing randoms and losing as usual, horde didn't win a single game i played yesterday.

You get boxes depending on how well your team did, the best i got were silver boxes, you get either a piece of blue gear, honor or gold, i got anywhere from 50 to 100 honor from bronze and silver boxes, this will make my grind for gear much easier

BTW disc priests are freaking hard to kill

Ahh well it's good that things scale up then. I'm assuming winning gives you a chance at either better blue or epic gear?

My priest is currently shadow/holy because I find holy easier to manage in heroics. Haven't been running 5 mans much anymore unless it's with my guild, I could probably drop holy for disc....

This is already starting to show in heroics. I was in one last night where the tank was actually #2 in healing taken on most bosses ... and the #3 player wasn't very far behind. I should've SS'd it, because it was ridiculous. The WW monk and arms warrior moved out of NOTHING.

The monk was actually dps'ing from the front ... on purpose. The tank would turn the boss, the monk would move with it and get hit with the frontal AOE. I lifegripped the monk into the "protect me" bubble for that one auchindoun boss (exact, I know...) and he ran back out and just kept going. I don't think any one of them used an interrupt the entire instance ... I'd have done it, but holy priests don't get one :colbert:

Yeah, I've read that heroics are harder than LFR as you actually need to work the mechanics of the fight. Once the holiday season is over and I'm home for more than 1 day at time I'll start working on those as well.

Yup, i see very little incentive to do heroics right now, lfr takes 15 minutes and i can do it with one hand not even looking at the screen too much.

That's encouraging for me. Held of on doing LFR because I wanted to sit and read a guide and absorb the details so I wouldn't screw everyone else over. I've tanked all the heroics fairly well.

One benefit of heroics, is that the bonus satchel they give to roles that are underrepresented in dungeon finder (usually tank) is BoA. I upgraded my hunter to 630 doing heroics on my tank. I'll probably try LFR on my hunter to get a feel for the encounters before doing them with my tank.

That's how I approached the LFR; good for getting a feel for the the fights. It's almost useless. No one even bothers with any of the mechanics of the fight.

Heroic dungeons are super easy now, after doing Highmaul on normal, and not just from a gear perspective. I mean from the perspective that I've learned how to play my class (disc priest) significantly better since doing Highmaul normal. My healing per second is usually 25k to 30k, which is low for the really good disc priests, but high for my ilvl (648.)

When I do premade groups or PUGs in Highmaul norm, I'm always the top healer.

I believe you only have a 20% chance at items, so it is very possible that they didn't drop anything for you.

Oh the World of Warcraft RNG hates me with a passion. I've been playing since Vanilla and I swear to you I am an outlier in the direction of terrible luck.

Got my first highmaul raid for my followers. As of right now I have a 50% chance so I hope I can gear up a little better and try it later in the week.

not counting the profession ones, down to my last 4 non-epic followers. have gotten a couple il645 items over the last week. I went from having to bench some other chars earlier so I could have some timed battles, now I've got way too many of those as several lately have gotten that as their second. at least I finally got one with the horse trait. Next need to start cycling through some of those I parked to level them up.

Still trying to unload my greater hexweave essence ... not having any luck, and I'm down 5k from where I started. If prices drop any lower, I'll just hang on to it and use it myself. Problem is -- I'd rather not buy more savage blood, and my level 3 barn has produced exactly 1 in the last 72 hours. Is that normal? Because if it is, I'm just gonna replace it with something else.

Respecced into Discipline last night and gave random BG's a try. Yep, disc is OP. I've never priest-healed pvp, and unless a ret paladin was involved (6s stun is too long IMO), I had no problem keeping myself alive. Got 3 pieces of gear out of 2 blue / 3 purple strongboxes .... I really like that they added those for catch-up. Need another 500 honor or so for my pvp trinket.

I do need to work on my keybinds a bit for the spec -- for example. I have greater heal bound but I doubt I'd ever use it in PVP. I'll probably do more BG's this weekend.

Any disc/hunters with some 660 pieces not have a 3's team on horde?

I'm a ret with 6pcs of 660 gear (chest/shoulders/legs/ring/trinket/cloak) + weapon.

Would like to push 3's and it'd be quite easy if we tried.

I'm having a hard time unloading my taladite crystals and truesteel ignots 🙁

Side note, I make a lot more money buying the bloods and selling the upgrade on the AH rather than just selling the paint.

I bought 15 bloods at 900 each. Sold the 200 paints upgrade at 42k on AH. Netted about 26,500g profit. I was trying to sell the paints themselves for 20k but no biters. People didn't want to spend more than 10k.

That's what I've been trying to do. I tried the 200 cloth upgrade for 20k / their bloods ... went down to 16k / their bloods ... didn't get any takers so I bought the 8 bloods I was missing and made the item. I'm down to 30k (started at 35k) on the AH for the last 4-5 days, at least -- undercutting as soon as I catch it. Even at 30k minus AH cut I should've just sold my bloods and used the cloth for bags. I'd have come out ahead.

Ahh well 🙁

I do have crafted pants, and I could upgrade my crafted robes (that I have but am not using) ... but I need to make the lower level upgrade first.

How much are bags selling on your server? They're going for about 8-10k on mine.

I lied. They dropped considerably down to 4k.

Bags on Blackhand last I checked were still around 7-9k. Having the 28 slot bags for 2k still, I dont see why the 2 extra slots are worth the 5-7k.

Weren't they supposed to have greatly reduced the # of cc's in battlegrounds?

This has been my night today: stun fear stun silence OH-WAIT-I-GOT-A-BUBBLE-OFF stun root interrupt fear cyclone DEAD.

HOW IS THAT FUN?

I have about 8k in Garrison resources. Should I ditch my Mill? Also, did anyone keep the barracks? Was thinking about putting something else on that plot since I don't keep a body guard with me...

I'd drop the mill. Dunno about the barracks though ... the extra followers might be handy for more counters? Maybe not. I guess I have 25 but I usually have 15 sitting idle anyway

i run both milll and trading post, i never seem to have enough resources. also have barracks at level 3. the 5 extra followers is great

I'm planning on keeping my barracks, the extra 5 followers is helpful. Don't ever bother with the bodyguard though. They are more trouble than they are worth as a rogue.

Thinking about dumping my Mill as well. Sitting at 3k right now, and I gather resources faster than I can spend them. Figure once I get to 5k'ish I'll tear it down and put the barn in.

My GR's took a considerable drop when I kept changing buildings. I reallly don't go out in the world anymore to get trees.

I dont either. I have recently though because I am looking for the tree that starts the lvl 3 quest. Cant find that bastard anywhere!
