You're misunderstanding what I'm saying again. I never said that CDs are for restoring health. That makes no sense when most CDs reduce incoming damage or completely negate it! D: (Lay on Hands being the exception.) However, if you don't have a CD, then you can use a heal instead. Arguably, it doesn't matter what you use as long as you don't die. However, plenty of tank aficionados are more than willing to argue over what's the best CD at the best point.
Sorry, I read that wrong, as in pop a CD (not a heal) when you hit 20%.

I've barely tanked on my Paladin in WoD, but I still don't recall it healing for much, and it definitely didn't do a lot before. Unless it saw massive buffs or if the gear differential matters that much, it was completely worthless for me to use.

Also, keep in mind that there is no "basically replacing" WoG. WoG is gone. Prot Pallies don't even have Holy Power anymore.

WoG is an incredibly strong heal. Resolve, the replacement for vengeance increases self healing done and self bubbles as well as threat.

Currently: WoG heals about for 50% every 12-15 or so seconds at the expense of HP on another holy shield. Heal for more if you don't use it as often.

Legion: Use this new spell healing for 50% every 12 seconds w/o the opportunity cost of your active mitigation, because HP is gone for prot.

It's basically the same thing w/o the active mitigation trade off, aka a WoG replacement. It's fine.

Ah, okay. So, it's really more of a trade-off that it doesn't sacrifice our other "finishing moves" (everything has its own CD now), but we lose the ability to cast it on others.

All locks going back to soul shards, good.

Aff going back to powerful DOTS & drain tankin, good.

Destruction doesn't look to have received much changes otherwise. Demo has a couple abilities to momentarily bring extra demos to attack your target, as I said feeling pseudo beastmaster with demons.

drain life as a filler is just as bad as drain soul was

malefic grasp only worked because you could move with it

it needs to be changed back to SB

It looks like Shadow Priests get Shadow Mend (same as Discipline) and also Power Word: Shield. Discipline is becoming a weird apply a buff to friendlies (through beneficial spells like Power Word: Shield) and deal damage to heal anyone with the buff.

I'm reading Paladin now, and I have a very strong feeling that this will get nerfed really fast...

D:

Holy Light would heal you for 70% willy nilly back in Wrath.

Tough luck for Paladins in Legion. Blizzard's "refocusing" them in melee, even in healing is more of a liability than a perk. I'm glad I'm Ret/Prot these days as I could never stand chasing down everyone in the raid to get the most out of my healing abilities.

New talent:

Beacon of the Lightbringer
Passive
The maximum bonus from Mastery: Lightbringer is increased by 24%, and it now increases your healing based on the target's proximity to either you or your Beacon of Light, whichever is closer.

I always wanted undead paladins. I thought it would make sense even, lore-wise. (Doesn't matter anymore. Legion will be the same quality as WoD : not worth playing, imho).

My sub has been inactive since early-mid June, but I pop in here from time to time to see what's happening. I gotta say, I have absolutely zero interest in resubbing, usually around the 4-6 month mark is when I get the itch. The new expansion news/content just isn't doing it for me...

If they're no longer releasing sub numbers, I wonder how bad it's gotten...

a post from a long time guildie/friend who stopped playing in the early summer

Valor farming? What? That shit is back? Just hearing the word valor makes me feel hateful.

and that sums up my feelings on the matter

I do love how people are now hating on the token given it's current cost; as if any of this wasn't easy to foresee when they announced it. Now they complaining that cost controls should be in place to limit the max cost.

I would never be buying tokens with gold, but if the gold cost was high enough I might consider selling, but I'm looking for 100k for my $20 🙂

I was thinking about coming back for a bit but I don't want to spend 38k on a coin 🙁 I should have stockpiled when it was at $20k.

I honestly think undead Paladins are better lore-wise than tauren ones... 🙁

I mean... undead priests?

I've got either 4 or 5 on my account right now that I bought when they were 22-24k each...that's half the reason I'm keeping an eye on what's happening, because I could try out anything cool for free 😀

Even at 38k, I'd have no problem paying that. I left somewhere between 1-1.2m sitting on characters, and I'd rather keep the $15/mo.

I resubbed...and cancel sub right after. I have 21 days left and will try to level my dwarf Paladin on a dying server with no friends on it lol...

It'll be painfully boring...

You know what I want to spend my valor on? Adding sockets/warforged/tertiary to my gear, so I can feel like getting BIS is actually possible.
