If he's paying with automatic monthly subscription, then you'll get the mount after he paid for month #2 (which could be ~60 days after he started playing, because of the free 30 days). If he is paying with time card, you'll get the mount right after he redeems the code (which can be anytime after he started playing, i.e. even on day 1 right after he created the account).

There seem to be lots of raid solo guides and discussion of mechanics. MC is incredibly easy to solo, just brute force your way through. BWL and AQ have some mechanics that make it incredibly hard if not impossible to solo such as Twin Emperors.

As an arms warrior, I found both easy to solo. For the twins in AQ40, you have to do at least 60k dps to defeat their healing mechanic, and for BWL you have to have enough health (I was in prot mode at the time) to compensate the total damage that will be done to you by the mobs.

For Cthlulu (or however you spell it), they removed the mechanic where you needed at least two people...or at least I got lucky because when he would have ported me inside of him, I teleported outside and the mechanic never happened.

I've been severely lacking in pet leveling to do that stuff yet.

he still ports you inside with 1 person, and it works fine, just kill the tenticle, and it ports you up and you can kill him

WoW Up to 7.8 Million Subscribers

Blizzard has their Q4 2013 earnings call today, announcing that WoW is up to 7.8 million subscribers. This is up 200k from the Q3 2013 call that listed WoW at 7.6 million subscribers.

Game's still going strong, interesting. IMO Pandaria helped a lot in this. The content is great, fun and a bit less generic. Exploration is fun, quests are ok, raids are really cool and the loot is nice.

A bit on the easy side most of the time but it's a great expansion.

It’s served its divine purpose, but like most scrolls, it only has so many charges before it loses its magic and crumbles into ethereal dust. One Sha of Pride kill and a coin with no chest again. I am up to 11 chances with no chest.

I need to kill Garrosh this week for a shot at trinket/offhand/tier. I have no tokens now and have to wait until next week after I kill Garrosh.

14 normal kills, 5 heroic kills a handful of flex kills. Used a coin on all the normal/heroic kills, no trinket. Does it exist?

I was lucky enough to get the Garrosh one on our 3rd or so kill.

I have had 4 amber mounts drop from Warbringers in the last three days. I had a hard time seeing Amber ones up before then.

What I find annoying: Since I was elligible for LFR SoO I never been able to get in from the start of Downfall, always get in near or after the second boss...really annoying.

I just quit the raid and reQ.

Been like that for a month now...

It prioritizes groups missing people > new groups. If you get into a group that's already started your next Q for that raid will be fresh. It sucks, but it's the only way to make sure groups that have people who drop are able to finish.

ive had groups that have seemed alright, no issues on blackfuse or paragons but 15+ people leave before gorrash trash

i finally got my wep but i still suck on trinkets and i need 9 more secrets for silly legendary stuff
going back into throne of thunder is interesting

joined one the other day on Horridon that had a 5 stack of determination

Holy crap, I was in several LFR that Horridon was killed before the 4th door opened.

Blizzard tried to address this as once you actually kill the last boss in an already going group, you get a higher priority for a new group. The same thing happened with Lei Shen.

You all talk about a trinket...I got a trinket on the first and only attempt. Got the Black Blood of Y'Shaarj for my Warlock, a Haste trinket. Is that the one you all want?

Most casters will want that one and the one off the first boss. The other two trinkets this tier either suck or are boss specific (the cleave/multistrike one).

Already have the Toxi Totem and got Black Blood earlier.
I really need pants, robes, bracers and spaulders now...

And yesterday I finally got my Enchanting to 600 and enchanted everything I could on my Lock. I also have my Tailoring to 600.

Just need to find some cool enchants and patterns.

Are there some bosses/instances that drop cool recipes?
