it took them a couple years to realize dk was a terribad idea, and they have finally come around aftereven longer that resilence was a bad mechanism. so now they are going to give everyone a flat amount and remove it from gear.

cant wait for PvP standardizing. I dont play much so grinding PvP gear just to not get blown up right away was horrible.

yeah i used to PVP a lot on my warrior and rogue. after i took a break for a while i was so under geared i was getting killed in seconds.

I never really enjoyed pvp. Play a resto druid and only time i really pvp'd was in vanilla. And then only cause i was in a Naxx guild so going in with a group in T3 with some T2 was kind of fun to steam roll.

Did some in burning crusade but never got into it to much. And then i fell behind on gear and it was pointless. I could do ok only cause i almost always had the highest tier level pve gear but that only takes ya so far.

Anyways Im in the same boat as you. I'd like to raid but nothing like i used to. 2 nights a week in a more "hardcore" casual type would be perfect. I dont like the casual raiding since seems most people are to relaxed and dont try that much. But i dont want to go hardcore again. It doesnt help my server is pretty damn dead too. Id transfer servers but have no idea where to go

My guild is a 10 man looking for subs. We raid 2 nights a week, 3 hours a night. Usually we need a sub 3-4 times a month. We cleared normal mode last tier. Friendly guild with a positive attitude. Most of us are raid loggers, so if you're looking for a social environment outside of raids, it doesn't exist.

Send an ingame mail to hacpe in bleeding hollow if you're interested. We're looking for people that aren't elitist, don't shit-talk, and just want to have fun.

Thinking about coming back this summer when I have more free time. Haven't played since...that twilight raid was released in cata. Is it worth coming back to? You all that still play having fun? I did a little raiding and some PVP with friends.

Mor elooking for a full time raid spot. Not a log in and wait and see type thing. Thanks though

•Reduced the amount of Justice, Honor, and Darkmoon Faire tickets needed to upgrade heirloom items by 60%.

New lfr, 10 wipes on first boss, 2 wipes on second, 1 wipe on final.

Boat in shipyard was seriously glitched.

Only 1 quest in the shipyard?

Project Titan info leak: eSports, Jay Wilson, Blizzcon 2013 and more!

Apr 02 2013 03:26 PM | mynsc in News

OK, here we go. I've been sitting on this info for more than a week, not only to do my absolute best to verify it, but also because I didn't want to publish the article before or during the April Fools craze. So let's begin!

Leak Validity
It's always hard to be sure about something like this, but I'm extremely confident about this one. The source is someone with firsthand info that I've personally talked with extensively and has provided solid info (names, photos, detailed description as to how and why he knows what he knows) to validate him/her self. There is always the chance that it's someone playing a silly prank, but this one would be a very elaborate one. I'm giving it a 95% chance to be true.

As always, what I'll report here are his/ hers conclusions of what (s)he's seen, so this can always deviate a bit from the truth, but not because of wrong intentions from either of us. Also, please don't draw any definitive conclusions about the game from this. It's a very rough sketch that might not even be entirely accurate. Disclaimers aside, let's get into the juicy stuff!

Game Universe
•It's based on Earth's history, but also includes a high amount of fiction. It will have a "deep history", just as Warcraft and Starcraft.
•They're intending to include many Warcraft elements into Titan's world. Mostly Easter Eggs, but can also extend to entire characters being ported into the new game, one way or another.
•There will be a lot of Time Travel.
•When it comes to weapons, we'll have almost everything at our disposal, from magic to guns.
•Heavy use of Greek, Roman and Viking myths.
•They've invited some established writers (Richard A. Knaak for example) to help with the storyline.

Game-play
•It's an MMORPG. We'll play from a 3rd person view, but there will also be a first person view during "events". No extra clarification as to the nature of these events could be given.
•TAB targeting in combat.
•It will benefit from a completely new game engine.
•Graphics will be in the established "Blizzard style".
•Primarily a PC game, but next-gen consoles are still being considered. Probably after launch, as with D3.
•Expected 12+ PEGI.
•It's designed with eSports in mind. They will try to grow it into a successful eSport.
•There will be "clan" housing. No details on player-housing.
•Last but not least, the game will have an Auction House. Nothing conclusive about a Real-Money Auction House but it is possible. As an extra tidbit, Blizzard was also considering introducing a RMAH into WoW at one point, but apparently not anymore.

Miscellaneous
•150 developers working on it now. Last we've been told, in September last year, there were just a bit over 100, so the team is growing at a nice pace, quickly becoming the biggest one. They're about to bring new Community Managers into the team and some testers that will be needed in the near future. Many of the new team members have come from Blizzard's other projects.
•Speaking of inside transfers, Jay Wilson is on the Titan team. Please don't go overboard with this. ^^
•English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish localization now. More will come during beta.
•They were considering implementing easy in-game recording at one point, unsure of the state of this at the moment.
•BLIZZCON 2013 - Titan Teaser, details on expansions for all other major franchises (SC2, D3, WoW). There will be other small Titan teasers at the event but nothing major. They don't want to show any game-play until they have a solid date for beta.
•Speaking of which, current plan is to open Family & Friends testing (Alpha stage basically) in Q1 2014.
•The game has a name already that has been changed multiple times over the course of the development process. Unknown unfortunately.
•They're going full-out when it comes to the soundtrack. Each zone will have its own song, and the songs will vary vastly in type, rhythm. We've reported before that Jason Hayes has returned to Blizzard, so this is definitely not surprising.

They need to hurry up and make mote/spirits of harmony not soulbound anymore. I could use them on other toons right about now.

My wife finally convinced me to return to WoW and Mists for some PvP action. I'm still at the beginning of my learning curve and performing poorly.

If its still up, check the wow realm stats site. Otherwise check the realm forums and make a char to check city population at times you play and size of AH.

decided I'm going to try and min/max my rogue and noticed Engineering as top PVE (currently Alch/Herb). Gonna drop Herb but keep Alch (have a BS and don't want to do it again.

1) is it extremely expensive to do Engineering leveling? I heard it can get pretty complicated unless you have mining as the secondary.

2) is there "quick leveling" for it in patch 5.3?

3) anything else I should know before I dive in?

there was some type of buy item for decne tamount of $$$ but be able to use it for severl skill points type recipe I came across when doing mine. otherwise just having a miner, along with plenty of old ore, will make it easy.

Went to Blizzcon last year. Although I got in for free, its definitely worth it.

I was able to finish the 3rd wing of LFR last night. Pretty tough and people really need to know what to do. Cant really overpower them like the rest of the LFRs. I was really lucky and got 3 bonus roll items and 2 boss drop items off the 9 bosses.

^ current last boss in LFR is easiest with controlled chaos. Have only 1-2 activate at a time and tell all dps to focus only skull while tank marks them. Zero AOE allowed. It will be the longest most boring fight, but also one of the very easiest since ToT released. This way there will be very few crimson wake wrecking people.

Dumu is still a nightmare for 25 strangers put together. Yesterday it took us 9 wipes to finally get him down enough - with still over half the raid dying to purple death - that we could finish him off. The key is the bright purple squiggly lines on one side of the beam... that's the side all should start on. The rest is just following the open space.

Durumu is the worst boss I have seen in a long time. The maze is a joke. I ran two full circles around the boss as a Druid tank after popping speed boosts, I still could not see the opening. The coloring is awful.

I somehow managed to live through one and the boss died. Blizzard needs to take a look at coloring the maze differently or making the opening a lot bigger.

I think it took us 4 tries because the first three times the tanks wanted to group everthing up and aoe which didnt work. When they finally listened, we did one side at a time and he went down.

I like natural cleaving but it frustrates me to no end to punish people for following a proper rotation. Some classes are likely hit much harder than others for following a pure single target rotation (not sure if zero means low or none). Fire mages for example would be reduced to spamming fireball until a natural double crit procs pyro. Sounds fun. :\

I'm pretty sure I generally read each line of the patch notes, but after some guy in a dungeon ask me for a brez... I began to get curious. Had no clue they adjusted soulstone so I could use it that way.

someone in my TES LFR said the exact same thing today - was that you???

Soulstone has worked that way for a very long time now. Even before Mists.
