I've got my view distance at max and all vid settings at ultra. I can still see objects losing detail at 20 or so yards and and anything other than large objects dissapear entirely from 40-50 yards away.

I'm stuck at an impasse. Doing Guardian or Resto for Warlords. Been tanking since the end of BC on a druid since the start of Cataclysm and dropped it to heal with Resto in this year long lull after SoO. I really like it. People who tank or heal, which do you do and why?

So they just put out that the challenge node "season" will be ending *soon*. How hard is it now to get a silver or gold?

Heard druid healing is some of the best from those doing beta stuff.

We actually just got nerfed into the ground the other week. http://www.mmo-champion.com/content...-18888-Legendary-Quest-Removal-Colossus-Smash

I'm in the beta and trust me it shows. I still really enjoy Resto healing but my basis is not on ability because I think Blizzard has done a great job balancing roles in recent times. I've never raided progression as a healer. Looking for experiences on that

I've been doing them with a few friends the past week. We have 5 down, 4 to go. Trash pulls have been harder than bosses. The gold timer hasn't been an issue yet, so long as there's no dying.

Been Bear / Cat since the end of BC but I really want to try Resto and Moonkin.

Got room? :D

We did our last 4 CMs (Siege, Scholo, Mogushan, Stormstout) tonight. It went pretty smoothly. Took about 3 hours. Got the mount, title, and DK transmog gear.

You're overreacting.

Please, from BC on World of Warcraft has been undergoing a constant systematic reduction in all variables of the game from expansion land mass size, to talents and buffs and a plethora in between.

Absolutely none of this reduction has anything to do with making the game better for the consumer/player (it has not), and everything to do with it making it easier for the developer.

No flying in WoD simply means they are going with smaller size, less content with the intent on stretching what there is out as long as they can period.

Uhm, not sure about land mass, I've played the beta and Draenor seems pretty huge to me. I can't imagine that the area of the similar zone is smaller than in BC. SMV and Nagrand seem larger.

Even in Wrath characters started getting too many buttons imo - particularly as a warrior I thought stance dancing and the different abilities available in each one and shared cooldowns was simply bothersome. I'm not real up and up on the changes being made but as far as I know WoD is kind of 'resetting' things somewhat and trimming the fat a bit, which to me sounds well deserved.

I have to agree here and I played the org beta when rogues could use shields

some classes simply had too many buttons (looking at you vanilla shaman /shudder)

the removal of spell ranks and down ranking (heals) was a well needed chance.
the balanceing/ overlapping of buffs certain classes can bring was a good change
removing the bloat/combining things was a good change

some of the changes in WoD at the moment do look odd, however that's only because most people are not playing the beta, in reality most classes/specs are fine and will just take some readjusting

the only notable WTF is the colossus smash change for warriors

I forget the specifics, but it's something like a limited chance or limited chance after you get the one the current char could use.

Something like this.

If you win a heriloom it drops your class items first, then other random items. I think it also considers spec so it'd be current spec > off spec > random non usable. It's pretty smart.

Your first BOA will always be appropriate to your loot specialization at the time of awarding. After that, it can be any of them.

Remember one guy in guild talking about getting the mace for the third time on the same char.

Just stepped back into WoW after a 3-year hiatus and damn am I confused. I don't remember ANYTHING. I played pretty heavily when the Deathwing expansion came out and hit 90, did a few 5-mans and then quit, and haven't been back since.

While I figure everything out again, I wanted to ask one main question. What is the go-to plug-in/add-in site nowadays? I'm big on customizing my interface, I don't think WoW is playable without doing so. I know back in the days that I played, you had to be careful about what sites you downloaded from.
