Whoa, we are definitely in the minority there ... throwing out a number here, but probably 9 out of 10 people are not PC geeks.
I don't think its even close with all of the XP installs still running these days. I work on a good number and I just started seeing Vista/Win 7 infected PCs in the past 6 months.
Steam does statistics on what their users have installed on their computers. It's obviously slanted towards types who use games (have Steam loaded). But the trend is fairly clear:
going by that article and stats from above, it looks like windows 7 will be overtaking Windows XP sometime early 2012 unless windows 8 is released then and everyone decides to get windows 8 instead.
Don't get me wrong, I like Win 7 a lot, and I have converted all of my home machines, with the exception of an old laptop from 2005, over to Win7. I was just curious whether XP was still holding on strong or not.
