5 minutes later, I found geocities porn 😀

weird part is....i first found porn on BBSes....

I remember a 1 meg file I copied to a floppy to show a friend.

it was amazing back then

I made some nice cash in high school selling floppy disks filled with jpeg porn 😉

it's funny to think that fairly reputable free hosting sites like geocities used to allow posting porn (maybe not "allow," but there was a lot of it out there and I don't remember many attempts to really crack down on it until 1997-ish).

wow! is all i can really say!

I was in 10th grade of high school and it was my first time in the US. I was 16 😀 Mainly just used the internet for porn hehe.

bbs.. warcraft multiplayer!! setup/ping nightmare😛

nothing like someone picking up the phone and ruining your match

I think it was 1995 when I first got on the 'net.
Whatever year it was my university computer lab first connected.
I was 19!
Used the laser printer to print black and white pics of models for my wall.

I didn't have home net access until May 1996.

1997 on a blazing 33.6kbps modem. What did I do...chathouse I think...I remember there was a "hacker's room" and was amazed by those people. Only later did I learn that the site didn't check for html tags lol 😀

About 1995 I dropped the old Compuserve service and signed up with a local ISP (spent too many years at approx. $12 an hour with an old 2400 baud modem downloading my drivers etc.).
Was 50.

I first got a computer for Christmas during 5th grade, so that was 1992-1993. I'd say it was within a year until I was on the Internet (AOL first then later a local ISP).

Around 1990, using university shells and slip/ppp accounts through a local bbs.
I was about 10.
