At what age could you grow a full beard / sideburn / mustache combo?

25 going on 26, and I still can't grow a real beard. It's been slowly coming in over the years, but the more hair I get on my face, the more I lose on my head. This is NOT a fair tradeoff!

and I'm pretty hairy everywhere else. 😱
 
I'm 20 and I can't do any of them 😛 Aside from slight sideburns, I wouldn't grow it out as the 80's soap opera star look is not cool.
 
It depends on genetics; some can at a young age (I knew a guy who had a full 'stache & beard at the age of 12), some can't till their mid-20s, some never can. I'm of that last persuasion, it just doesn't grow in thick, coarse, or dark enough. While I can grow it long enough to look like a full beard, it doesn't have that 'lumberjack' look, more of a 'hippie look'... which I don't want 😛 I'm otherwise quite apeishly hairy, so it's kind of weird that it doesn't much grow on my face. Asians are especially likely to be like this, but I'm mostly Italian, so it's not limited to any genetic type.

My facial hair comes in pretty fast but its not overly thick and i really cant have a beard or goat. How do i make it thicker

When I was 12 I had to start shaving ...
When I was 16 I said screw shaving, and grew a thick beard ....

I never tried to before then, however, I think when I was 14, I could have grown a full beard with chops and a stache.
 
i'm 19 and i get facial hair every where, except the middle of my chin.

i let it grow once, and it looked hilarious, in fact, i just took that off two days ago...but now i look like a kid 🙁
 
Am trying it now @ 23. Gone almost 2 month but I am keeping it nicely trimmed since I am looking for employment. Without it I look 12.
 
Not sure about the full beard thing, because I've never really tried it (don't think it would look good on me either). But I've been able to do mustache and sideburns (oldskool mutton chop style) since I was about 15 or 16 (about to turn 20 now).
