AT$TBI is suck

I just ran a speed test at dslreports.com and I got 90kbps down and 96 kbps up. I was getting 2.5Mb-3Mb down and to the cap of 128kbps up on AT&T@Home. Also the limit on AT$TBI is 1.5Mb down and 128kbps up
thus it is AT$TBI /because they are cheap
and
AT(_O_)TBI /self explainatory

Quit complaining. The network isn't stable yet. If you don't see a stable connection with decent speeds after Sunday night, you're one of the many subscribers who have problems with their accounts that are still in progress.

Be patient. Atleast you HAVE a connection.

exactly, think about it, AT&T is switching 850,000 users to a network that previosly had zero... i think theres gonna be some problems there

luckily, mine hasn't been so bad, got a few 100-200+ k/sec downloads the other night

They cant afford not to cap the download at 1.5Mbit. @home gave them cheap broadband, it casued @home to file for bankruptcy. Get used to it, all companies that have their own private networks, cap at 1 to 1.5Mbit.

Im capped at 1024 down and 512 up on the service I use(based out of Irving, TX, but are in alot of major markets). I also pay more. Then again, Ive only had one outage in 4 months. If you want faster speeds than 1.5 and dont want to pay for it, well to bad, bandwidth doesnt grow on trees.

If you mean IE "Cannot find server" yes and the majority (except for AT for some reason) are effected by this. Also a lot of trouble connecting to the email servers

i would give my left nut for those speeds i dont care to much about the 1.5 cap because no server will be able to provide that much nore 5 servers. What i really want is no upload cap (or a high one) so i can host a server

You host a server and I will find your account and officially warn you. That's strictly against the Acceptable Use Policy. If you want to host a server, get a different ISP. If AT&T is the only broadband available to you at this time, get used to not hosting a server.

I would never host a server on cr@ppy 128kb up and having them break up the upload transmissions every 15min so every1 lags out. I never did nor did I ever say that I did host a server.

Cable modems from *real* companies rule . I'm using Optimum Online in Connecticut, and the only cap on it is an upload cap of about 120KBytes (yes, bytes, not bits) per second. I've seen download speeds of up to 900KBytes/sec on some servers like edome.net, although typically I download at 150-450KBytes/sec from most places . $30 a month... I really feel sorry for those stuck on a cruppy thing like @home/variants, paying $40-50 a month for speeds I consider to be a slow server and look for another one on unless it's a 500k or so file .

if you have noticed, they havent set up the dns. We dont even have host masks. They need to cap it at 1.5 because they just put up their network and they cant afford to have unlimited download speeds without rising the price. Give it about 2 weeks before saying anything.

Your service use allows you to host a server? You're not with ATTBI then. If you are with ATTBI, you're smoking crack. We're specifically told that servers aren't allowed. Maybe all of my managers and trainers and supervisors are smoking crack then?

I said I use a company based out of Irving, TX. Was the only place I could find that didnt use @home. Equal speed on DSL is $200 a month in where I live. For some reason although with all the competition, DSL and non @home cable is expensive as hell in the DFW area.

My cable is uncapped. I get about 2mbit/s! I still have @home though. Don't know what's gonna happen once Comcast introduces their own network...........
