AT&T Yahoo user can't connect with IE or Firefox (I need your help)

I am a AT&T yahoo user. They set up my intenet so that I have to connect through their yahoo browser.

I want to be able to use IE and Firefox though. Also, I think this is affecting my ability to do certain things such as downloading album artwork via microsoft programs.

PLEASE HELP IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS

According to this page, it should be possible to use other browsers.

What operating system and Service Pack are you using, is it WinXP SP2? If so, you might want to

1) set a System Restore point so you can undo these changes if they make things worse

2) uninstall the Yahoo! browser

3) Start > Run netsh winsock reset and click OK

4) reboot and see if you can browse normally now

Any good? 😕

You could just Uninstall the AT&T Browser and any other garbage they installed on your computer.
What a lot of people do not understand is that You Do Not Need a ISP company's software on your
computer to access the web or any web mail service. All you need from them is the IP connection
into you NIC or Router .. on some ISP with say Dial Up or DSL you may need to enter a User Name / Password
But this is usually done thru the DSL Modem / Router or Cable Modem / Router and not on each computer.
