Flooz has some kind of a deal with AT&T offering Internet access for $4.95 a month for 150 hours (if anyone actually uses more than that it's $.99 each editional hour).

I'd love to do it because cheap, ad-free Internet access isn't that easy to come by. But unfortunately there's no access number in my area.

Anyway, here's the link for other that would like to take advantage of it:

The deal also offers you the chance to send $30 in Flooz for $20.

I got this email as well and thought it'd be nice to get rid of the ad banner on my free internet service. The problem is that AT&T has an ad banner too!! If you look in the details on their site you'll see that you have to keep some management banner open to stay online, and it looks like it scrolls ads just like the free providers. The FAQ does say you can turn ads off but the management window must stay open.

Banners for $4.95/month? No thanks, I'll stick with banners for $0.00/month. I can't believe internet access isn't totally free by now anyway.

Banners and 150 hours a month for $4.95 is hardly a Hot Deal. I think everyone was spammed with this e-mail.

ATT has excellent usenet news, which may be worth the extra $$. Not found with Netzero, AltaVista, & other ad-banner ISP's.

Their usenet news is not that hot dude. A lot of incompletes. Try onlynews or uncensored-news, air news, etc.
