government actually does something useful?
Stop china mobile trolling.
No way china mobile can enter us market.
China Telecom has already committed to, and yeah, they have an uphill battle for regulatory approval. But honestly, despite it being "China", really what's the difference whether T-Mo is owned by a Chinese company or a German company?
This makes China Telecom's entry into the US market that much easier IMHO... pretty sure they'll be looking at acquiring T-Mobile from Deutsche Telekom now that the door is open, and DT still wants to divest T-Mo. I think this would make China Telecom's entry into the US market that much easier.

honestly, a merger would've helped unify spectrum instead of having phone manufacturers make 248573945 different models with 2843973204598 different names for each carrier.
Agreed. I was looking forward to the prospect of a unified GSM carrier operating on the same major bands as the rest of the world's GSM carriers.honestly, a merger would've helped unify spectrum instead of having phone manufacturers make 248573945 different models with 2843973204598 different names for each carrier.

How are they corrupt? This is great, if Sprint and/or T-mo can stay afloat. Sprint's partnering with the corrupt Lightsquared folks has me concerned, though.
