Can you let me know if your friend can still provide a hook up for either the panasonic allure or the nokia 8260. I live in PA. I only need the phone and not interested in any contract though. Thx.

Any good m&p stores in Phoenix?
Also, anyone have any opinions on the Motorola v60 AT&T sells? It gets good reviews on epinions, but more opinions are always better than less.

you can now get A T & T deals from TigerDirect, & they will give you a $50 Rebate on top of all the other promotions.

very agressive deals on all the phones, all plans offered.

some phones you even get cash back - featured in their latest catalog

At TigerDirect (reselling getconnected.com) with $50 rebate:
Nokia 3360 $50
Nokia 8260 $130

That's pretty expensive I think. Once again, these places are including 2-year contract rebate to make phones free.

You are right jrichrds. Why go to tigerdirect when u can get a BETTER deal
for nokia 8260 ($80) from a reputed dealer like amazon.com.

I am also looking for a good deal in the seattle area and haven't found any
that would give the phone 3360/8260 free without considering the att/nokia
rebates.

The closest for the 3360
Circuit city ($25 after their MIRs) - now out of stock
BB also $25 (if u consider their GC)

Hey guys i was wrong.. i just talked to my friend again and he CAN activate anywhere in the US. He would be willing to ship it for free.. all you would have to pay for is the phone.. Phone prices will vary from market to market.. so let me know if ur interested, or email him directly at pagealert111@yahoo.com

Wasert: 1800mobiles will sell a phone without a plan but the price is VERY high, I assume that you just want to upgrade your current phone? I've heard that AT&T will give some discounts for an upgrade, give cs a call.

Wasert,

<<any places where i can buy just the phone without any plans?>>

Yes, you can do that just about anywhere. Only thing is that it'll cost a lot if you try to buy a phone without a plan.

Just got buy.com spam for deals available:

8260 or 3360 - 49.99 with year activation. Plus you qualify for the $40 rebate, the $50 gift card, unlimited nights and weekends(with $40 plan) and free long distance(also with $40 plan).

On another note, last time I was looking at phones, I got an AT&T rep to offer to match buy.com's price, and give me a free car speakerphone kit to buy it under my existing account. It would have saved them $$ anyway, so I think you can talk them into a lot of deals to save them the $300.

wasert -

which carrier phone are u looking for? I have a couple of samsung sch-1900 phones for sprint pcs that i used only for a couple of
months. sprint coverage is not very good in my area.

let me know if u are interested.

I just changed my $39 plan of 400 anytime + unlimited night/weekend + free long distance
to:

600 anytime + unlimited night/weekend, I'm now getting 200 extra anytime minutes, instead of free long distance (because i don't call outside the state anyways)!! I just did this earlier today.

I think this is a really hot deal!

How did you do that? I don't see the offering anywhere. For those whose interested in the AT&T wireless service, you may want to check out if your company have any partnership with AT&T. AT&T offers HP's employee 15% off their monthly package, in addition to the choices they get for the $39.99 plan. They also offer special discounts on the phones, but they are not that hot...about 40% off the retail price.

geckojohn,

Do you get to keep the extra anytime minutes as long as you remain on the same plan, like with the free long distance promotion? Or do the extra anytime minutes end after your contract is up?

I think they are for the life of your phone w/ AT&T. Just call them up and ask.. I'm sure by the time your contract comes up in a year, they will have better plans anyways.

hey

i found a used cell phone, but i read somewhere else that you can't activate a used cellphone cuz cellphones now are programmed for specific networks

does anyone know if that's true?

I had a problem with AT&T and not going to use them again. When I signed up, the plan was 250 anytime min. and 500 weekend minutes. Then a month later they had a special for 3000 weekend minutes for 6 months, so I ask for it and they give it to me. Than after 6 month when 3000 weekend minute expire, I though I will go back to the 500 weekend minute, but instead they took off everything and all I had was 250 anytime minutes only. They said that if I want the 500 weekend minute back, that I would have to pay $5 more. So, my bill plan is $35 instead of $30 now. What a rip off!

800.com is one good place to buy Nokia 8260. They charge a full MSRP of $179 but you get the following deals if you use MSN passport

$100 800.com gift check
Passport discount close to 20% = $36
Add AT&T's $40 mail in rebate and Nokia's $50 Gift Card and it gets better.

To make things even better, add another $120 worth of products to your purchase at 800.com and you get another $50 gift check from 800.com plus MSN passport credit of $24(20%).

Final deal will be something like this if you buy AT&T service and Nokia 8260 and spend 120 more.

Charge on your credit card $299

U get back
$150 gift check from 800.com
$60 from MSN Passport
$40 from AT&T Mail in Rebate
$50 Gift Card from Nokia Mail in Rebate

So, U get back all 300 U spend and shipping is free if you buy all electronics.

I am not sure about making it better using PM with Amex Blue on the stuff U buy from them.
