Thanks for the POST!

I got the following:

450 ANYTIME MINUTES (250 Minutes + 200 Bonus Minutes)
3000 NIGHT and WEEKEND MINUTES
FREE LONG DISTANCE
FREE NATIONWIDE ROAMING
$39.99 a month.

Just had to renew my contract for a year from today but with this deal it is worth it. This is just like the AT&T One Rate plan only a lot less $$$.

Any good rates for us 29.99 cheapskates?

I currently have 250 anytime minutes
2000 Night and Weekend Minutes per month for life.

I called ATT and the most they would give me was 250 extra anytime minutes.
I tried for the Motorola V60 disccount but no dice. He said maybe in three months
I also asked for Nationwide Roaming he said nope, try Digital One.

Is it possible to get a similar plan to Voicestream or Sprint PCS. I would like to
get a plan similar to their 29.99/34/95 plans.

tedbears, you hsould take the 250 extra. 500 minuts plus 2000 nights is a very good deal for only 30 dollars a month. try to get 3000 nights, then your on a super plan for 30 dollars.

<< hey vinny how did you get that deal? and is it still available? >>

I had to call a couple of times and I think it is still available.

<< does this work with a new contract? or do i hafta get a new contract than ask for more minutes? >>

I don't know if it would work with a new contract. I had my sevice with them for a little over a year and my contract was over.

I was going to go with Cingular 29.99 plan.

250 anytime
3500 N&W, after 9:00pm
Free roaming and long distance
Free Nokia 33xx phone and $100 credit

First off, I rather have my nights start at 8:00 pm instead of 9:00.
2nd, I would have to get a new number.
3rd, In Southern California, AT&T reception is much better than Cingular. I get 4 bars on my Nokia 82xx at my place and when my friend comes over, he get no reception on his Nokia 82xx (That alone is worth it).

I got no roaming as well. I am really glad becuase the csr told me it is "real" no roaming, not just no roaming on the att network. As for the minutes he said the extra minutes are only for a few months. What did your reps say to you? I may have to call back again in a week if i hear differently form you all. :D

OK originally i got the "no roaming" promotion; but i think its a crock now; I recently called to check on my plan its not what was promised before...

Basically they promised me:
420 anytime
3000 N/W
Free LD
Free Nationwide Roaming

What I actually had according to 2 reps (called different times) was
220 anytime
3000 N/W
Free LD
Free Roaming (within restricted area CA, NV, HI, AZ)

Before this whole thread was posted I had:
450 anytime
1000 N/W
Free LD
Free Roaming (within restricted area CA, NV, HI, AZ)

So I'm going to try to revert back to my old plan...makes no sense to me that I should extend my contract for a year, only to get fewer anytime minutes.
My hypotheses: 1)original poster got lucky (or is mistaken); and 2) if you call enough AT&T reps, you're bound to find one that is totally confused about Free LD, and Free Nationwide roaming; and trick you into thinking you got something you didn't get

ATT only offers free LD and nationwide Roaming on the Digital One Plan. The plan everyone is talking about in this thread is
the Regional Advantage which does not have nationwide Roaming.

Little confused. But anyway here is what I got.

They put me on the ATT Wireless Network Plan for 34.99 I get

300 anytime minutes
Unlimited Night and Weekend
Free LD
Free Nationwide Roaming while on the Nationwide ATT Network

and 134.99 for the Motorola V60.

THAT IS INCORRECT! On the $39.99 Regional Advantage plan you can ADD a promo for NO NATIONWIDE ROAMING. It basically makes the $39.99 regional advantage plan into the $59.99 One Rate Plan.

I currently have (And have had it fr about 2 months now):

450 ANYTIME MINUTES (250 Minutes + 200 Bonus Minutes, PROMO)
3000 NIGHT and WEEKEND MINUTES (PROMO)
FREE LONG DISTANCE
FREE NATIONWIDE ROAMING (PROMO)
$39.99 a month.

azshopper71, little confusing. Is the promos that everyone is talking about TRUE FREE LD, TRUE NW ROAMING like
Sprint and Voicestream?

What is the difference between your plan and mine ATT Wireless Network.

<<I have FREE LD and FREE NATIONWAIDE ROAMING on ANY network in the 50 states>>

I have it too...i think?

OK earlier I posted that this Free nationwide roaming was a crock; now I am reconsidering this statement.

I called CSR to go back to my old plan (since a previous CSR had told me Free Nationwide Roaming was only avialable with ATT One Rate); But then this CSR told me that Nationwide Roaming was real so I asked him to sign me up. He stated "it is exactly like the one-rate plan" except that it is $39.99. It requires that you already be an AT&T customer. So new AT&T customers cannnot get this deal. This is a "promotion" that was added to my Regional Advantage Plan. He stated this was part of their "retention program" because I had compared it to Cingular's plan.

I was considering switching to Cingular's Free nationwide roaming plan if this deal didn't go through. So now i have to play the waiting game. I will not know if this went through, until i actually travel out of state and make a roaming cell phone call. I am not going to call CSR again to verify my plan, because apparently not every CSR knows about this "promotion". So it is possible if I call back to check on this plan, I will be told it doesn't exist. I wish they would put this all in writing.

I should have:
420 anytime
3000 N/W
Free LD
Free Nationwide Roaming

Peter
Bay Area, California

PS. If anyone actually has a phone bill, that shows they didn't get charged for Roaming, could you please scan it (of course black out the name/number). This might help settle this, and convince the non-believers, and help those that are confused (like me). I will not believe it until i get my own bill that shows $0.00 roaming charge....but its worth the risk i think; Worst case scenerio, i will owe a ton of money in roaming charges...wish me luc

I too was once a non believer... I have used it while traveling to LA and Miami and was not charged roaming fees... my region is only supposed to be from Virginia to Maine... so it is legit... again a great find by StaplesSucks
