just my 2 cents:

40bucks/mo + taxes = Att digital advantage (my area is: alaska, washington, parts of oregon, idaho, and N. cali). 600 anytime minutes + 500 mobile to mobile minutes + nationwide LD + free nights/weekends + all the other crap (text, VM, call id, etc).

had to sign on for another year (up in Dec), but i live in AK, travel a lot in WA, so for me this is a no brainer.

this is by far the best deal i've worked on a cell phone so far.

it is my sincere hope that ATT Wireless loses money on every call i place to make up for the years i've paid through the nose for shi$$y service.

It doesnt get better in Boston, i've NEVER had a call dropped there!

Well, I'm off the phone now. All in all a 36 minute phone call.
Well here is my new plan...
600 Peak (online it says 200 additional for life)
3000 Night and Weekend for life
Long distance for life
I asked about phone upgrades, and she tried to give me the 5165 for "free" She said that all I have to do is pay tax and shipping, about $30 she said. Yeah right! That would also be a downgrade from my 6160. She was helpful, but knew absolutely nothing! I had to tell her what the current promotions are, and she hadn't even heard of the 50% additional minutes.

<< i too am wondering which promotions iamme got on his account.

hey, iamme,

if you could find out which promotions you have on your account it would be awesome. im pretty sure att only lets u put 2 promotions on your account. so im guessing unlimited nights and weekend is one.

im on 39.99 digital advantage.
400 peak (included)
250 bonus peak (promotion #1)
unlimited nights (promotion #2)
roaming and LD in cali, NV, AZ (included)
>>

i believe the digital advantage plan for 39.99 includes only 200 minutes regularly. that is the plan i switched to and then i got the bonus minutes on top of those. the 49.99 plan is called the digital advantage 400, and like the name says it includes 400 minutes.

never mind...you're probably right. but the deal we're talking about here is on the regional advantage plan.

Can you guys please state what area you're in when you post? I'm just wondering if this plan is only available in a certain region. I tried twice already, and will probably try 1-2 more times before giving up. Your milage will definitely vary.... So far best they could offer me was:

$49.99 Regional Advantage
400 anytime
3000 N/W
free LD
free National Roaming

But i don't want a $50 plan; I asked if they had a similar plan for $39.99 and the lady said NO. Oh well...

pdragn78 - the girlfriend just got on the plan thats all over the forum, and shes in San Francisco, CA.
I'm located in Boston....and it's definately here too!

Tell them you want the 200 min regional advantage plan with atleast 200 extra mins, and throw in the free roaming+ld code along with your nights and weekends.

Worked for her...try to get another person there.

I offered this advice before, but for those that are having trouble trying to get these promotions, or are a little timid in these matters, tell the CS rep that you were offered this deal from another rep earlier in the day, but you had to think about it. Now you are calling back because you've decided to take the offer. It's a little white lie, but not close to the lies that I've been handed from phone companies over the years.

staplesucks,

does your plan now include free voice-mail?

my current regional adv. plan includes-

200 + 250 bonus (total 450 anytime min)
1000 n&w (after 8pm)
free long dist.
free roaming in western region
free voice-mail
free email

free nationwide roaming is definitely a big plus, but i don't want to lose free voice-mail for that.
besides i already completed 6 months on contract(1 yr).

also, anyone else succeeded getting signed up on this "leak" deal?

thx

So, if you have free Nationwide Roaming, then you can make calls from any state and not incur any additional charges? So the calls would only come out of the available minutes? This basically makes the Regional Advantage plan just like the Digital One-Rate plan then?

Just want to make sure I understand this right before I try to jump on the bandwagon.

Thanks,
Radiation

Yes thats correct; Free nationwide roaming would be like the digital one-rate plan; I'm not sure if you need to roam on the ATT network though...or can you roam on other provider networks also? Does Anyone know???

Well i think I finally got in on this deal, crossing my fingers though cause plan seems a little tweaked from what others have posted. This is what I was promised:

Regional Advantage $39.99
200 Anytime + 10% Bonus + 200 Bonus = 420 mins anytime
3000 N/W
Free LD
Free Nationwide Roaming (for 12 months)
Voicemail etc...

So according to this I have 20 extra minutes compared to others who have posted here. I wasn't lucky enough to get the 500 mins like you Staplessuck, but I'll be happy if this goes through.

Bay Area, California

PS. Your milage will vary; took me 3 tries; I would recommend being friendly and having patience (it took this person about 5-10 minutes of searching to find this deal); if they refuse to search for "promos" or tell you no such plan exists, just call back another time. If anyone continues to recieve this deal, please post so we know its still alive.

If you are like me and don't travel much you might be happy with the plan I have:
350 anytime + 1000 n/w
Free LD in local area, which I think is NV, AZ, OR and HI
40 dollars credit or 50 if is towards a phone.

29.99

<< anyone got a good deal on 29.99 plan? >>

hi
I called the lady and talk to her.. she said i would get 400 + 200 + 90 minutes.. that would be 490 min any time and unlimited nite and weekend with free long distance.. i can't talk her into getting me a free roaming.. but some how the website only show up as:

Total
Minutes Monthly
Charge Additional
Charges Coverage
Map
200 $39.99/mo. .40¢/min addt'l airtime
.00¢/min domestic long distance
.60¢/min Domestic Roaming rate CoverageMap

Promotion: Start Date: End Date:
"UNLIMITED NIGHT & WKND" 'Oct 25, 2001" "Unavailable"
"15% MORE INCL'D MINUTES" 'Nov 27, 2001" "Unavailable"

does they make a mistake on my bill or what? how come i only see 200 total minutes instead of 690?? thanks.

how many minutes did you use? if you used less than 200 for the billing cycle, they will only show the 200...for example on my account, i have 400 minutes plus a promotion of 250 extra peak. so when i talk less than 250, on the bill it will show something like 220 of 250 minutes used. i wont see a '400' number anywhere...

hope i made sense there...if you were to go over 200 minutes, you would see the other minutes of your plan on the bill...

I've been following this tread for a couple days, and I think it's time for me to jump in. I'm currently on Suncom (part of the AT&T network as you probably all know). I'm on the Suncom States plan where you have 11 or 12 states as your local area. I get 250 anytime minutes a month plus unlimited nights and weekends for 45 bucks a month. Not a bad deal, but I'm gonna try to do better. To everyone who has been successful in getting the free nationwide roaming....are you on AT&T or Suncom? AND, do you have the regional (small home area) or the states plan (10 - 12 states as your home area). The only think that kinda sucked about Suncom is in Southern Illinois (it may be like this everywhere) Verizon wasn't letting Suncom have digital service on their towers, only analog. So when I was up there, I couldn't use my free nights and weekends cause I couldn't hit a Suncom tower. Thank God they put one up last week.

-Thanks In Advance
