What problem are you having. Provisioning or it can't access @HOME DHCP server. Provide more infos if you need help. Or there's a couple of @HOME tech on this board that you can talk to.

the PClink light will be on when i put the connection type on 10BaseT Full_Duplex but it will say the connection is disconnected
when it's on Autosense, the PClink light does not turn on but it says it is connected but it tries to detect proxy servers but and it says this page cannot be displayed

Works great here !! I think you don't have your network card set up properly. Did you configure the TCP/IP information correctly?

Just unistall the drivers for your NIC, then restart and let win2K redetect and leave the TCP/IP at default auto settings.

Your computer name is all you need to connect.

I tried that NIC is a PCI Ethernet DEC 21041 Based Adapter in win98 and in win2k its a Intel 21041 PCI Adapter and the 10BaseT No_Link_Test option is not there

The PClink is off when it is set on autosense
The PClink turns on when I set the connection to 10BaseT Full_Duplex but it says the network connection says its unplugged
I didn't have a problem w/ the 3com modem but I am having this problem w/ this RCA modem (same NIC)

Change your Computer name to the Name @home supplied you. Make sure TCP/IP is installed. DO NOT put an IP address in the field, leave it "DHCP"

It should work.

Disable the proxy settings in the browser if they are installed.

I don't know about AT&T@Home but I need to input the IP address assigned to me by my provider. Maybe you should try and find if AT&T@Home left you any papers with IP/DNS info on it. DHCP will not work if the provider uses Static IP address. DHCP works when then provider uses dynamic IP address and requires you to get an IP address from a DHCP server.

in w2k ... ping 127.0.0.1 .. if it works that means your net card is configured properly ..

you do not have to use their dynamic setup with the weird name and all that

just put in your ip address (in w98 type in winipcfg in the start/run and get the IP from there)

assuming your ip is ***.***.***.*** then your Gateway will be the same start with a 1 at the end

***.***.***.1

in winipcfg (win98) ... hit the more info ... and get DNS server ips ... put those in your Tcpip setup in w2k

this should work fine ..

all that stuff is in there but the modem still says there is no pclink but when I put it on 10BaseT Full_Duplex (NIC settings) there is a pclink but it will say the connection is unplugged
Is there a way I can get 10BaseT No_Link_Test in win2k because that is what win98 is using for connection type and win2k doesn't have that option in connection types?
