My cousin and my buddy has it. They say the clarity isn't good as ATT's TDMA service. They both don't get same quality as reception either. My cousin gets a lot of drop calls.

I don't have it in SoCal, but I do have it in NorCal, and it is not as good as the TDMA. A lot of poor reception and dropped calls. I did use my phone when I went to LA recently, and had the exact same experience there. There are areas where its perfect, and works great, but there are just "dead spots" where the damn service wont work. Plus I have a ton of trouble with it in shopping malls and large stores. never had that problem with TDMA.

I signed up last may and it was crap to the extreme and I went back and was told oh it will get better they are still working on the system....

So I stupidly agreed to wait and see, they gave me a month credit,1 month later...same b.s. and now they will not let me out of the contract because the buyers remorse has expired.....:|

It took me about 12 calls to ATT before they finnaly let me out and waved the $175 charge for doing so...
I went to T-MOBILE and I love it primo service here ...

If you want a GSM provider, I think T-Mobile is your best bet. Good rate plans as well...

(I am on TMo in Irvine)

right now I have Sprint and at work and the new home I'm going to move into I get no reception.

Previous work and all the past places I've lived in got good reception

At my work t-mobile gets no reception so I'm ruling that out.

Verizon and AT&T work..but I don't know if they work at my new house.

Nextel I'm finding out about next week to see if it works at work..still gotta drag someone to the new house
