Me too. And I am in the Bay Area also. It is still new for AT&T. It will take a while before they expand GSM so that you are able to get good reception anywhere. The apartment that I am moving to next month, I partially chose it because it is in an area where I get good AT&T reception.

Sucks ass. I am in NYC and outside of like Manhattan proper it's useless. I was in Westchester County the last few days and it did not work in most areas. I wish my Sony Ericsson T68i was not GSM.

I haven't seen too many people using it, I saw one friend of mine with a Nokia 7210, and we were outside in the center of Dallas - the signal was fluctuating like crazy. He said that the service sucked and needs more time to develop.

i have a nokia 6590 (sent it back for repair now) and i'm using my sister's siemens c56 (something like that, not sure the exact model) and they both get pretty poor reception.

only reason i got GSM is i signed up for a contract and i want more features instead of stuck using TDMA

it sucks when everyone else in the dorm who has AT&T gets good reception while mine doesn't get anything.

yea GSM sucks here in NJ too

only good GSM is Voicestream, and even they are flaky at some areas.

Verizon = best

GSM is much better than TDMA in my area. Also around the dorms in UCLA AT&T and Verizon are the only ones with reception.
