Too bad i was so looking forward for the Exynos note :(
Specs
What sticks out most is the Note's 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED screen (1,280x800 pixels), which looked clear, colorful, and gorgeous. As with the international version, it packs an 8-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and a large, 2,500mAh battery to help support that huge, hungry screen.
It also felt light and thin for a phone of this size, not much thicker than that of the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket. I often rebuke Samsung for making light, plastic handsets, but in this case, a weightier device would turn off more prospective buyers. Since I now see a lot of phones with 4.5-inch screens, the Galaxy Note no longer strikes me as cumbersome, and it felt comfortable enough in my smaller-size hands.
The Note is, of course, and Android phone, but here's where some of you stop cheering: it'll ship with Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. I expect AT&T to upgrade the phone to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich sooner rather than later. Samsung's TouchWiz interface rides on top.

Exynos doesn't support LTE (or the Tmobile 42mbps HSPA+ for that matter). If they want either one, the phone won't use (current) Exynos SoCs.

So that is why T-mobile's SG SII doesn't have exynos

Yup. They wanted HSPA+42 and the Exynos couldn't do it.

The biggest downside to the snapdragon galaxy phones is the lack of developer support. T-Mobile SGSII, ATT SGSII Skyrocket, and the new/upcoming ATT SGSII Skyrocket HD are all snapdragon Galaxy phones.

Epic fail.

Putting a Snapdragon in the Note is like putting a lawnmower engine in a Ferrari. The 1.4ghz Exynos SoC in the real Note is a far more capable of powering a high res device.

Really really bad analogy.
You act as if the 1.5ghz Snapdragon was used to power flip phones back in the days or somethings.

Compared to a 1.4ghz Exynos it kind of is that bad. On a 1280x800 screen the difference in performance between the Mali 400 and vastly inferior Aderno 220 will be very noticeable. The original Note was the smoothest Android device aside from the Galaxy Nexus but that likely won't be the case for the At&t version.

I really wanted a Galaxy Note but as soon as I saw the rumors that At&t would be getting a Snapdragon SoC I bought a Exynos powered Galaxy S2.

The snap dragon ain't no slouch. It's just not the cool top of the line processor now.
As far as Dev work goes it's true there isn't as much for the T-Mo, Telus, ATT versions, but there is enough to keep you busy. Plus, 90% of ROMS on most phones are just ports of other ROMS with some visual tweaks.
The ROMS that are out are actually pretty good, just no official, unofficial ICS ROMs yet.

Listen, we all know the Exynos is a better soc.
No need to harp on it over and over again.
ATT is beginning to roll out LTE so having LTE on a phone is a better choice.
ATT just rolled out LTE in my area.
My buddy is getting like 30-50mbps right now.
Its not like ATT had a choice.
If they wanted LTE on the Note, it has to be the Snapdragon.

Yeah they can focus on the network rather than devices.

Hopefully Samsung incorporates LTE/HSPA+ into their future Exynos/SoC revisions. Seems like the smart thing to do.

Necessity of LTE is debatable, especially when it's at the cost of processing power and battery life. 1st gen LTE chipsets are lacking, I think both Apple and Samsung were right to consider the tech immature and "omit" LTE on A5 and Exynos respectively.
It will be interesting to see comparisons between the 2 editions since the performance gap is bound to increase further compared to SGS2 editions, due to Note's Exynos higher clock and display resolution.

You're right about the necessity of LTE is debatable.
But ATT sure will attract alot more customers by having LTE equipped phones than not.
