Looks like AT&T listened! Still only good for 45-days, but that makes this a $6.67/month emergency phone.

Although it is better than paying $25/45 days, under the new $10 card, each minute is 0.50¢.

xingular prepaid is 90 days, and .35/min peak, .10/min off-peak. this is better than ecallplus.com! and i think u can use a nokia 5165 phone so u can switch from the free2go plan. (u probalby have to call up at&t and tell them to release the esn)

Does that mean, I can go outside my local area and still pay $.35 if I am within their Network, meaning no roaming charges?

According to their web site, "Calls originating outside the home coverage area can be billed to a credit card at $1.95/min (outgoing calls only; coverage cities subject to change)." If you want free roaming, you may have to go with the ecallplus deal.
